IT is a medium size project,prepared to earn some money by the government of Gujrat.Ticket charges are heavy

Excellent piece of 'must visit place' if you are in Ahmedabad.
Wonderfully built around our old Sabarmati river.
Excellent to visit in the early morning hours. Mobyk bicycles and unicycles available aplenty on rent for cycling enthusiasts. And for the walkers it's a pleasure to keep on walking on the beautiful pathway built. The place is wide and open for dog walkers as well. I found many pet parents walking their dogs off leash, enjoying the freedom of space.
For those visiting in the evening hours, there are other attractions like the Atal walkway bridge, the Entartica SeaWorld for some water based activities and a coffee snack joint as well. These I am yet to discover.
There is also a beautifully built flower garden at some other end of the riverfront. That is also a visual treat to the visitors who would otherwise find Ahmedabad to be a dry and dusty place.
Would highly recommend this place to all visitors as well as to those who can manage to come here as often as they can.

Too pleasant. 7 kilometres long walk way on either side of river Sabarmati. River remains full all throughout the year as it is filled by River Narmada water coming through Narmada Canal. Passes under 6 road bridges and a rail bridge. Very clean and neat. Opens 5 am and closes 12 mn. Multiple entries ( 8) and you are allowed to ride bicycle ( rented cycles also available). A very important place for morning walkers but even evenings are very pleasant and this is a nice place to see the sun rise.
There are multiple places to visit here : excellent riverfront garden, state of the art sports complex, a rare forest garden, rapid boat ride, kids' rides and many more places plus a very artistically designed Atal Bridge, a walk way over the river.

When I first saw it, I was gadzooked by the sheer cleanliness and maintenance of the Sabarmati riverfront...no different, say to what you might experience at the Thames riverside in London or any other significant river side city! Kudos to the municipality for maintaining such an awesome site...the Atal bridge is the icing on the cake along with the flower park...at night the bridge is a sight to behold! Don't miss it if in Ahmedabad!!

Il nostro primo giorno di arrivo ad Ahmedabad abbiamo fatto un giro nella città e precisamente abbiamo percorso un tratto di lungofiume e attraversato il ponte per ritornare al nostro hotel. E' una zona ben tenuta con marciapiedi rifatti e percorribili anche in bici, ci sono delle aree verdi con piante di frangipane e la sera è illuminato. Piacevole per una passeggiata lontana dal traffico della città.

We got opportunity to visit it on 29 March with my kids. We chose to go Atal Bridge side which included the flower garden n cactus garden it’s really awesome experience. Ahmedabad got nice spot for walking also . Much more enjoy there.

Its very clean place. Cool.. nice view. It is very relaxing. You can walk, sit, ride boat. Very safe and within city. Kids can play around also

Amazing place for cycling. Very scenic and pretty. Clean and tidy surrounding with large variety of birds. Plenty of people have their morning walks along the 21kms stretch.

How to explore all attractions along riverfront? And which bank is better to visit east or west.Can anybody guide how to explore all major attractions and activities along the sabarmati riverfront? Thanks.

The major permanent attraction is boating. Rest of the events are organized from time to time.you have to check dates with your travel programme. Usually flower show is in winter and lasts very long. You can visit kite museum and sanskar Kendra which is open six days a week throughout year. National Institute of Design is also at walking distance from here. For other attractions of the city you have to leave reviver front and enter the city area.
Is it open late night today or not. Also if we came by a car, there is a parking space/lot. Please suggest me for today only

It should be understood that Riverfront is basically a road alongside the river or is motorable river bank. One can visit/ travel any or all 24hours on it. However the attractions like boating, bicycle hire and attractions around are open daytime, usually 9 am to 5pm. Most attractions on the riverfront is almost in the middle.

I may be wrong, if say yes, now. When you visit, at that point of time/day it may not be operation. So better you check when you visit.
Is there a wakeboarding company at the river??
