A 17th century fort very small but nicely maintained, mainly structures of animals and birds, scenic beauty surrounding it, nothing much to do, good place

Morni fort is a great place to discover and explore about the animals and earth. It shows how the animals were there before the human life. The place is full of knowledge for children and young kids. The vibe there is so positive as there is a temple also. The ambience is quite simple with wall paintings and sturctures of animals all around the place.. I would suggest every person to visit this place once you are in Morni Hills..

Good weather and beautiful drive in the Morni Hills which takes us to the Morni Fort. You will be lucky if you come across peacock and deer on the way to the fort. In short its nice picnic spot.

Visited Morni Hills in September 2018, so do read my reviews about the Hotel Mountain Quail by Haryana Tourism and I had to get this location added into TripAdvisor as it was not coming up.
Anyhow, this is located just 1 minute away from the hotel and is located next to the Forest Department office in Morni and once you start walking up the steep incline one comes to the entrance of the Fort.
There is a very small temple right next to the entrance, which is good. There is also parking space for vehicles.
There is a historical description of how this fort came about being and who it was bestowed upon. Once you enter the gates, one would expect to see the "fort" like things, but to your astonishment - there is nothing which holds anything of a fort.
Even more surprisingly, the Forest Department has created this wonderful Eco-Friendly message with 3-D models of animals, huge Copper Plated plaques telling how the humans evolved thru the ages, and what is the present scenario. The attached photos will tell you what I am speaking about.
There is a small door to east - where one can go to see the awesome valley below and also the 2 sides of the fort and the tower from the outside.
We were literally amazed at how well the inside has been maintained and converted into this mecca of Environment and saving the planet. Very nicely done and impeccable maintenance.
Spend a lot of time there with the kids and explain what all this is for - as it is their future.

very ordinary. though well maintained but nothing to see as such. They could have made a real small zoo instead of such duplicates of animals

Visited this with a 8 year old we loved the concept. Good job to haryana forest department for the effort put in. Not such history but more about conservation of environment. We enjoyed as we had very few expectations.....can be a short but great stop over to tikkar tal.

The fort doesn't hold that much history and for persons to see doesn't have that much either, one can visit on the way to the tikkar taal lake and it can be covered in 10 to 15 minutes max.
Though i would say the bike ride to the route is fun, rest it is pretty average sight.

We visited the newly opened museum in Morning Fort in Jan 2018. I must say that it's one of the very well maintained ones in the country may be. The minaret of fort itself is impressive. The area is small but nicely developed. The exhibits are nicely done and informative. Bonus is that You can also get lovely pictures clicked there, a good keepsake from your trip :)
While in morni, it's must visit place.
