Beautiful Garden. Well maintained. Had a very good time with family. Greenary all around which is difficult to find elsewhere.

Nice Garden at some height, you can have some view of Dal Lake from the Garden. More over it is small version of Nishant Garden, so if you have already visited Nishant Garden and time is less, you can avoid it

This is also a terraced garden like Pari Mahal, and has beautiful manicured trees and flowers. The highlight here is the spring water.

This garden is worth visiting.It is good as a picnic spot.Chashme Shahi , is one of the Mughal gardens built in 1632 AD around a spring by Ali Mardan Khan, a governor of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as per the orders of the Emperor, as a gift for his eldest son Prince Dara Shikoh.
The Chashme Shahi is located within the jurisdiction of Srinagar city, 14 kilometres (9 mi) in the northeast from the Srinagar Airport. It is adjacent to Rajbhawan (Governor's house). The garden is connected by the Boulevard Road which passes along the banks of the Dal lake. An entry fee of Rs 24/- per adult. Photography allowed. Provision to eat our lunch etc...in the premises.

small garden compare to mughal garden, shalimar garden etc, u can avoid visting, u have to go through army checking,

Views, Water, Garden et all. I went back for the special drinking water which aids quick digestion and is good for the body.

Chashme Shahi garden is perched on top of a hill that gives you lovely views of the city. You must try the water from the fresh water spring here. Very sweet. As with other gardens of Srinagar, this is also very well maintained

Dear all,
I shall be visiting Srinagar with family this September middle for 4nights and 5 days. What would be the weather like and the best travel itinerary? Also, is it safe for tourist in Srinagar?

Yes, Must visit place. Safe as you will be surrounded by Army.
Spend more time in Pehalgam. Do visit Chashme Shahi and Bring plenty of water back from there.
Dont come back from Pahalgam,spend at least 2 nights there. Gulmarg and Sonamarg are same day spots.
While coming back from Pahalgam you can buy Original Saffron and Dry Fruits.

Ya no ticket for children, you can take an auto to go there and there is a tea stall of good style there.

Just go to New Columbus -- best ambiance just in the front. Heevan group is good too --- just look for a houseboat which has a platform in its side where you can sit on a chair and enjoy the view.
