Om Nama Shivaya.. Planned a few temples but settled at one, once reached at shri Manjunath Temple. Liked to take darshan till the temple closed at 8 pm. Offering the water from the Natural stream outlet to the Shivling a few steps above the main temple in vicinity is a good experience.
Peaceful aarti Darshan with not much rush at evening.

Kadri Shree Manjunatha Temple
This is a beautiful temple campus in the heart of Mangalore. This temple is dedicated to Lord Manjunatha as well as other deities such as Lord Ganapathi, Goddess Durgaparameshwari, Lord Ayyappa. There are ponds within the premises if you want to take a dip. Since it is located amidst nature, it brings in a certain aura and peace. Lots of parking available too. Go at 10 am while the crowd is less. There is a natural spring at the temple premises and the water flow is constant throughout the year. It is called a Gomukha thirtha. If you are a followed for Lord ShivaJi, you can offer your respect by pouring holy water on the Shivling here. Tallest wel-come statue of Lord Hanuman is located on the top of Kadri Hills at Kadri Manjunath Temple.
We got lucky to witness the SatyaNarayanJi pooja too
The peaceful environment that the temple embodies provides absolute tranquility.
This old and ancient temple is surrounded by a picturesque scene of natural beauty.

This is a lovely old temple inside Mangalore city. The huge temple has the principal deity at the centre of large courtyard. The place was clean and organised for safe darshan!

One of the oldest temples in Karnataka and very well maintained. A big temple that houses lord shiva.
Visit this temple if you are anywhere close to it.
Enough space to park cars near the temple.

Situated in the heart of the city this huge temple is a divine place. The smaller temples of Aiyappa, Anjaneya, Ganesha, Durga Parameswari & Chandramouleeswara add to the splendour. The Kaasi Bhageerathi theertha from where water can be collected & used for abhishekam of the Shiva lingam by devotees is so unique. A must experience place.

The visit to Sri Manjunath Swamy temple in Kadri hills is to be mentioned. We really got absorbed in the good vibes of the temple. There was some spiritual discourse along with a musical programme being performed there Though we could not understand the language but music we really enjoyed. In the evening the whole place lighted up and it was a wonderful sight

Im a localite of Kadri and been working in the temple for quite a time. Kadri temple is the greatest shrine in the whole of southern India. It has a deep routed history.
Though located in the heart of Mangalore, yet it is separated from the harsh urban life and elavates you to a totally different atmosphere due to luscious green foliage that you find around the frontier of temple.
There is quite a number of quality restaurants around the temple and also the fact that its located midst mangalore you have wide choices. Temple also has its own yathri niwas.
To reach the temple you can board 60 number bus, Id suggest you take an auto be it from any place in mangalore that you are planning to visit.
Kadri has its annual festival or Jathra mahothsava during the month of january. Starts from Makara sankranthi and lasts for 9 days.
To name a few specialities of the temple which youd never find elsewhere.
#1 The only temple which has fusion of both south and north India ( Nath panth of Nothern India has their hold here )
#2 The ponds lie above the level of temple which is quite surprising and never to be found
#3 The biggest flag post (dhwaja sthambha)
#4 Kashi Bhageerathi theertha which flows continuously year round through Go mukha which has its origin from kashi, again to support the fusion
#5 Has the best bronze statue of trilokeshwara.
#6 Nithya anna santharpane or mass feeding to every devotee
These things mentioned are nothing when compared to the blissful experience that you feel when you visit. Im too lucky to be in Kadri.
