Visited the beach in evening, had nice time with friends. Enjoyed the sunset. Had nice food. Ample parking space.

This is one of the dirtiest beaches in the country-which I visited on 25th August 2022.The area was filled with debris right from car parking . Very very dirty atmosphere. Authority can try to save the beach image by removing debris constantly throughout the day .Parking area the most dirtiest area may be kept beautifully with flower pots etc.

Nothing attractive about the beach. Too crowded and a smaller one. The place is like a mela. Also costs a bomb to reach, though there is a bus approach. I will not recommended if you are not staying nearby, or want a peaceful experience.

They have a lot of cattle left open in the nearby area which can be a little scary if you have senior citizens or kids with you. This beach is outskirts of city u can visit it while travelling from Udupi to Mangalore. Google couldnt find us the accurate location we were little misguided but with help of locals we reached.

Best beach to view the sunset. Clean white sands with a few shacks serving hot snacks. The place is not too crowded so its peaceful. The beach has lifeguards so safe too.

very good place to view and enjoy set. not much crowded and decent people. Beach managed it very neat.

Had visited this beach in the month of March and came back impressed. Kids loved it. The beach is clean and neat. It is possible to have a swim in the water.
There are life guards to ensure that one is safe and they take utmost care to see people are not in the water post sunset. There are camel rides and speed boat racing if one is interested.
What could be better:
- Sign boards indicating the change rooms
- Accessible rest rooms.

Panumbur beach is yet another beach in Mangalore
As mangalore known for different beaches this is one among them .huge crowds during weekends
Horse ride camel ride are available in this beach .
Events take place during kite festival and there are many stalls of eatables .

Good beach but crowded on weekends there are jetskis, motor boat ride with short distance only. Kids will enjoy the same

This beach is good for families with kids and wanting to spend an evening as there are a number of fast food eateries and the police man the beach and ensure that everyone wears masks. Its a place where kids can enter the sea and play in the water for long durations!

As it is a big beach, the police impose covid protocols and it is safe to travel there.
We are planning to visit in the next month ie june....will it be in open in that month

Panambur beach is always open for tourists.
If heavy tides are in rainy season then they ban swimming in beach and water sports activities , rest you can enjoy.
Also boating to St. Mary’s island will be canceled if it rains heavily.

There is an area where they have beach cottages built on platforms . In this area you have to take permission with a charge .

It is about 10 kilometres away. I took a local bus from the SBI bus station. When you get off the bus the beach is then 1 kilometre away so you can find an Auto to take you the rest of the way.
Hi after playing in beach s there any washroom to change clothes.

Yes we can take soft water shower and change dress.
It is in beach vicinity developed by tourism department.
Separate for men’s and women’s.
You need to pay nominal fees.
Are we allowed to camp fire and spend a nyt over there??

Yes you can ,you have to contact mr Yatish bicampady , they have beach side huts which they rent it .

Whether adventurous water sports/games in Mangaluru will be that much entertaining, i doubt. We did see rides in some of the beaches. Right now the monsoon is receding and is expected to be better and more conducive in the course of next month.
