Took a small trek to reach the top. Few stone shelters are there. A small convenience shop is there for refreshments. Older people's can avoid this place.

Recently, I visited Panchalimedu, and while the experience was average, it was still a great opportunity to chill with friends and spend time in nature. One thing to note is that cars are only accessible up to a certain point, and from there, you need to walk to reach the top.
Once we arrived at the top of the hill, we were treated to a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. While some people pointed out that we could see Sabarimala, we couldn't confirm it for sure. Nonetheless, the view was impressive and made for a great photo opportunity.
There is also a temple located in Panchalimedu, but unfortunately, it was closed when we visited. As a result, we didn't trek there, and there wasn't much else to see in the area other than the panoramic views from the hilltop.
Despite the limited sights, the experience of spending time in nature with friends was enjoyable. We had a chance to chat, relax, and take in the scenery. For anyone looking for a peaceful break from city life and an opportunity to connect with nature, Panchalimedu is worth a visit. Just keep in mind that there isn't much to see beyond the view from the hilltop and the temple.

A beautiful and cool misty mountains with green meadows near Kuttikanam enroute to kumily. Its a lovely spot for a day trip.
Climb, walk over the green meadows accompanied by cool breeze and mist....relax....
It was not a popular spot earlier. How ever tourism dept has started to make it a major attraction (Eco tourism ). 20 rs entry ticket to be purchased at the entry gate.
Resorts and vacation homes are coming up in and around panchalimedu.
A small temple dedicated to Bhuvaneswari devi is situated on top.
Couple of snack shops are available inside the panchalimedu premise for refreshments.
The locals says, On a clear day , go to the top most part and you can even see the Alapuzha light house. Makarajyoti can be viewed from here clearly.

Panchalimedu is a great place to spend a misty evening.
I travelled to Panchalimedu 2 times with the hope of spending a misty evening and both times, it did not disappoint me. Amazing how the mist engulfs the entire place. The coolness of mist touching your face with beautiful valleys around was amazing.
I also did small trekking to the view points located at the different corners within. The views from those view points are stunning. You can catch the views of different valleys.Spent around 3-4 hours, walking around and taking in the serence beauty of hills. (Might have walked around 5-6 Kms) .
There is also a small cafeteria - which serves hot tea and snacks. Just as i was sipping in my hot cupa tea, mist came in and covered the entire area. (It might have been around 6.15 PM). I soaked in the mist for another 45 minutes and left with beautiful memories.

Its one of the Beautiful Misty place in Idukki. I came here with family. The view of clouds are beautiful.

Nice place to enjoy trekking. Greenery with a peaceful ambience to spend a couple of hours. A must-visit in Kuttikkanam, Idukky.

A one time visit place, Panchalimedu is the place where apparently, the Pandavas, along with Draupadi spent some time, while hiding in the forest. There is a small hill, which leads to a peak with wonderful views all around. A good place for photography. There is also a small temple nearby. Other attractions here include a small tree house, and a walkway into the jungle aptly named Pandava Patha (Pandava's Walkway). There is an entry fee which is minimal and acceptable for the level of maintenance. Clean washrooms are available too, at a cost.

Panchalimedu-A hill terrain where the Pandavas with Panchaly spend some time during their exile.
A beautiful place to take rest and feel the winds and mist at its best. Ideal season is October to January. The place is under construction and KTDC is trying to convert it as good tourism spot. The ideal time either in the morning upto 10.00 clock or in the evening from 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm. The road from Mrinjapuzha to the station is ok, but at some places it is narrow and be careful is another big vehicle is on the opposite side.
Inside and outside the property ,there are some cafeterias which provide quality snacks at affordable price.

Nice place to visit from Greenteahills it’s 6 km from our place ideal for spending an evening , hiking camping experience can be availed from Greenteahills to visit this place . It’s near from the kuttikkanam main road and connects some epic stories to its name

The place is truly awesome, enjoyed ever minute of the trip. We went early in the morning as the weather was excellent, and the place wasn't too crowded at that time. By the time we returned, there were loads of tourists.
The place is maintained very well and we could see groups of students collecting the trash and cleaning up the place.
So if you enjoy solitude, get up early in the morning and head towards this gem.

Around half km climb you can have there, A church is there with the ancient temple having connection with Mahabartha is also there. Both you can travel nearby. Just can stay there and enjoy the cool hill station effect
