If you are in Trivandrum for a day then this temple is a must visit temple .Temple is situated near Kovalam beach on the other side you can see sea ports .The architecture of the statue was lovely.

This was a great experience. The statue of Lord Shiva was magnificent. A great picture spot. A wonderful viewpoint to the sea down below, and the small temple next to it all makes it a divine experience. It's a must see when visiting TVM.

AZHIMALA is in vizhinjam, Trivandrum is worth to be seen and admired one. It has been sculpted by a very young person named Devadathan .it is of concrete statue of lord Shiva 20 feet from the Arabian sea and58 ft tall being listed in Asia book of records. it is of 3 D view where Shiva gazing angular direction . it depicts the beautiful Shivas hair flowing in the wind holding ganga on top seen mingled with Shivas hair denoting the name as Gangadhareshwar. his one hand stays on right thigh other hand holds trisul.and damaru too. it is mesmerizing to see the nails on his fingers veins run throughout his body with bulging muscles . the snake Vasuki is round his neck like an ornament and hands with Rudra beads and an anklet seen on his left ankle. Devadathan never neglected even minute details given a LIFE into the statue of Shiva HATS OFF TO HIM the angular face with a masculine body is simply superb!!! it has its own Hindu mythology says this was the place Pandeva's stayed here

The temple is small but the details are exquisite and it's well worth a visit, especially for the 58ft statue of Siva which is incredible.
It was quiet when we visited, so no need to worry about crowds or queues. This meant we were able to get great photos of the Siva statue from all angles and really study the intricate details.
The beach next to the temple is a few steps away and is very picturesque, so you can visit both on the same trip for a nice afternoon out.

This is a small temple made great by the grandiose statue. An excellent photo stop, obviously! Do budget in some time as just adjacent to the temple, there is a lovely viewpoint overlooking the breezy Chowar Beach.

Es impresionante, y se puede fotografiar la figura de Shiva sobre el mar. El resto del templo no, porque están en ceremonia todo el tiempo y es comprensible. Pero puedes estar atento al ritual y es muy bonito.

Very disheartened with the attitude of security staff Manoharan. We went with family and the whole day's experience was screwed by him. His attitude starts from collecting parking fee. He abused on us as we didn't keep change for parking fee. Without even considering that we came with family. He scolded us for different times for unnecessary things. Felt very much insulted

Unlike any other Shiva temple with a huge and gorgeous Shiva sculpture. It’s just a grand sight and the panoramic ocean views are tip top!

What a vibe you get while just simply watching the paramashiva tall status. We visited early in the morning and we were amazed with the ambience. No more words to describe.
