‪From the outside, it appears to be a small museum but once inside there are multiple floors (Lift is also available). There are good artefacts at display and arrangement of these is as per international museums. The big deterrent is the parking which is not available adjacent to the museum and second is they accept only cash as the entry fees (Rs.80/-).‬

‪It was good experience over here though the museum is small but the sculpture and the art presentation of the museum is amazing. Theme of the museum is fabulous. worth coming here.‬

‪The area doesn't look huge. It's located in a narrow lane where parking is an issue. But forget all that. Once you step inside you'll discover a whole world of amazing idols, historic objects, ancient paintings, musical instruments and much much more. It closes at 5.30 pm and the ticket is Rs.60 for adults. We reached around 4.00 pm and had one hour time with us. We thought we'll easily see it all, but by 5.00 pm we realised we had to rush through the last 3 sections and needed 30 more minutes to fully see and appreciate the amazing collection by Raja Dinkar Kelkar. A must visit!‬

‪This an excellent small museum where one could submerge in Indian everyday culture. Despite the location, the museum is housed in the interesting old mansion of its founder. A treasure of statues, mostly religious, impressively sculptured wooden or ivory doors and gates, an amazing selection of Indian musical instruments just to mentioned a few. The museum was an utmost delight to visit and I highly recommend it.‬

‪We've visited 3 museums during our stay in India. Two of them were disgracefully bad - the National Museum in Delhi and the truly awful Lucknow Museum. By comparison, this was a complete delight. We spent 2 hours wandering around, and just about everything was beautiful and well displayed. The easy to follow route means you can't miss anything. By far the most interesting place we've been to in India. ‬

‪It is red colored old architecture when Shivaji's father had built it, it's still strong and maintained that it is again ready for any rivalry‬

‪If you are slightly interested in History and you are in Pune then this Museum is to be first on your list. Would be good to prepare a bit for this, surf a bit to know why this is special and how a one person army has collected and restored these artefacts. What is available for public to see is just quarter of the exhibits.
I have been in Pune for the past 3 years and when I am looking for something to do, this is one of the places one can easily go for a couple hours.
The immensely highlighted Mastani mahal is losing its sheen, but the musical instruments, the textile gallery , the utensils gives immense joy and respect to the collector.‬

‪Must take children to this place atleast once. A great collection of old things, traditonal & historical. Very well maintained. Different arms , utensils, clothes and many household things used in old days. Children can get lot of knowledge about our history and old days. Located in the mid of historical city of Pune is a place one must visit atleast once when in Pune.‬
