Travelling with The Western Routes is a huge comfort, as the ease of most things taken care of – commuting, stay, food, and all else. I have travelled repeatedly with them and there is a family/friendly vibe to Jayesh’s every group, and his curious knowledge of most things – history, culture, food, plants, animals – make most trips ultra special. A goodies/food bag is what he is notorious for, as snacks for all occasions, and in-between cravings.
We stayed at the Beyond Stay Mahua Vann resort, around the Pench National Park, which is a beautiful property with huge well-equipped rooms with enchanting views of the surrounding forest, good variety in food (sumptuous), and highly courteous and attentive staff. We could try most local/Saoji dishes at the resort. Yes, they do have a pool!
The safaris were very-well organized, catering to keen photographers as well. Pench is a beautiful forest and home to the tigers - Baras, Collarwalli, Langdi, Durga, Bindhu, Sharmili, and more. Our traveller’s group sighted the tigress Patdev with her cubs, and a speeding glimpse of another, chasing for a kill. Few other species included, the crested hawk eagle, Indian roller, Eurasian thick-knee, parakeet, wild dog, peacock, jackal, green bee-eater, jungle fowl, boar, spotted deer, gaur, white-eyed buzzard, jungle owlet, eagle, whistling duck, honey buzzard, to name few.
The group had 4 kids, the youngest being 2 years old, who enjoyed the three-day morning and afternoon safaris, that typically lasts 4/5 hours. We also squeezed a visit to the neighbouring potters’ village, Pachdhar, to try our hand at the wheel and stock on earthenware, a Zen experience, I say.

I have travelled with western routes at least 4 times till now and have never been dissapointed. They are punctual, professional, and provide an excellent experience which includes yummy food, comfortable stay and travel. The best part I like when travelling with western routes is I get to interact with like minded people and learn from their experiences. Western routes is and will be my go to travel companion in Pune whenever I wish to explore and experience travel in different cities or within Pune.

Coming across the love, warmth and passion of The Western Routes has been overwhelming. Jayesh's innocence and gusto is enough to pull anybody on his organized trips. He injects life to anything seamlessly. I have experienced the Old city breakfast tour in Pune and The Mango picking excursion to Ratnagiri with him and Instantly felt like my deep dreams come true of exploring something like that. Everything has resonated par excellence to my desires so far. Blessed to be a part of The Western Routes and many blessings to TWR too. :)

We had done the 3D 2N Pench tour on the 14th April long weekend with Western Routes.
The arrangements were impeccable. From the quality of cabs, the rooms at Mahua Vaan Resort, the tasty food and the safari vehicles, all was well coordinated and everything worked in a timely fashion without hiccups. Kudos to Jayesh for managing this so seamlessly.
The Pench forest has two entrances and we had one morning and one evening safari each (total 4) on both the routes. The Khursapar gate route has higher chance of spotting tigers, however we enjoyed the Turia gate route more owing to the rocky topography reminiscent of the Jungle Book which Kipling had based on this forest. We spotted tigers from afar but saw sloth bears, jackals, Gaur and Neel-guy at close range along with a variety of birds, highlight being a pair or Oriental Honey Buzzard.
Jayesh is a wonderful, unassuming host, and co-traveller. He has immense knowledge of the jungle flora and fauna and when he is sharing the gypsy with you, you are showered with wonderful tit bits of information pertinent to the foliage and animals you are viewing, significantly elevating the safari experience.
Jayesh gives you your own space, he doesn't shephard you constantly, and doesn't bombard you with unnecessary information. When he shares his experiences it doesn't feel like a brag and he doesn't keep an hawk eye on some minor extra spends. With other safari organisers you tend to run into one or all of the irritants mentioned above. Being a foodie himself there is always good food to be had when you are with him. He had packed many sweet and savoury snacks in cute cloth bags which he handed out prior to each safari. He had carried all this from Pune! He ensured that the restaurant served us local delicacies like the kheer made of dried Mahua flowers and even ordered some extra starters outside of the buffet menu. One member of our group had her birthday one day prior to the trip and there was a birthday cake he had arranged as a surprise which was a nice touch.
Long story short, you will have a stress free wonderful time with Western Routes, get to watch wildlife in their natural habitat on the safaris, you will share good food and laughter with your fellow travellers and go home rejuvenated with a load of memories.

I have traveled with The Western Routes on multiple occasions and the experience has been consistently amazing. From a half-day short visit to a meadery to a one-day strawberry picking trip in Panchgani to a four-day Konkan trip and many more; Western Routes continues to be my favorite and go-to travel organization.
What I admire the most about it though is the founder, Jayesh Paranjape who goes that extra mile to curate special and customized experiences for his trippers than your regular tour companies. I have shared so many laughs, created fond memories, eaten unimaginable amounts of food, and made so many connections, some I can call my friends from going on his trips. Jayesh always welcomes people from all walks of life and greets them with equal respect, and professionalism, and with his innate warmth. His temperament to manage any group of trippers is something that impresses me every single time. He ensures that everyone has a good time on the trip and mingles with the group.
Now some facts;
1. Itineraries are sharp and clean - no fuss! no unnecessary rush.
2. Absolute value for money - Once you sign up for the trip, all you have to do is turn up with your bags; the rest is taken care of for the entire trip. It's a completely hassle-free experience.
3. Safe and clean vehicles are used all the time.
4. You will always be snacking on something throughout the trip.
5. Veg, Non-veg food options are provided on most of the trips as per local availability.
6. The host will always be available and approachable for any of your queries.
Be prepared to fill up your bellies with oh-so-yummy food on these trips and tons of memories to take back with you!
Highly recommend it for everyone looking for a fun trip!

The Mango Madness tour was an absolute blast! Our group of 19, accompanied by Jayesh and Manoj, had a fantastic time for the full three days. We not only indulged in authentic Konkani cuisine, but we also savored mangoes in every conceivable form, including raw mangoes, mango shakes, mango juice, and mango ice cream. The seafood served alongside mangoes during our lunches and dinners was especially delightful. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who is a fan of mangoes. Additionally, we had the pleasure of making new friends during the tour, with whom we are now planning future trips. Thank you, Jayesh and Manoj, for providing us with an unforgettable experience. We cannot wait to join you on more trips in the future!

Travelling with The Western Routes is always a fun filled , great experience , I travelled to Pench this Summer , it was a wonderful experience all together.
There were 4 Jungle Safaris , along with all meals , stay at a beautiful resort and back to the airport.
An awesome time well spent amongst nature ! We were extremely lucky to spot the magnificent Royal beast - a Tigeress with 3 cubs , lots of deer , beautiful birds , jackals, wild boars and a pack of wild dogs etc.
Thank you Jayesh for sharing a lot of information about the Jungle and making our stay very safe and comfortable, with the best food and your warmth and hospitality.
TWR always gives a memory of a lifetime on each of their trips !! Looking forward for more trips with The Western Routes.

I've been on several trips with The Western Routes in the last year or so, and this is by far the best travel company I've come across. Incredibly comprehensive, yet relaxed itineraries, meticulously researched and curated local experiences, and the most empathetic and personal hosting and hospitality you can ask for.

I have done numerous trips with Western routes with my family; Ajivale Devrai, Dapoli, Bhiwgan, Pench, to name a few. We’ve also done some fun experiences like the Pune City walk, Pune food hunt, Kombucha tasting. It has always been a wonderful experience, with Western routes ensuring the best possible stays, food and overall travel experience. Trips with Jayesh are the most fun; his warmth and enthusiasm makes you feel welcome from the very first interaction. His deep knowledge of Indian culture, history, wildlife, local foods and tireless dedication ensures that we end every trip enriched with a new understanding and appreciation of the places we visit. Of course, the icing on the cake is the scrumptious food arrangements and fun conversations!!
