This can be said is my first experience that is very unique in exploring Java. I never imagined that I could experience walking on a lava floor, actually being in an active volcanic mountain in the area of the ring of fire on the island of Java. the location of the volcanic crater that spews lava is in the middle of a dense tropical rain forest and is very well preserved, to get there I have to drive adrenaline on an adventure exploring tropical rain forests, crossing rivers and rocks which are quite steep. but this is a very great adventure, and very memorable for me, and I like the challenge that this mountain gives, and this tour with Java Private Tour really represents my desire for adventure, and what is more beyond my expectations is at the end of the tour I am swimming in a waterfall which is extraordinarily beautiful and really represents my feelings for Java. thank you to the Mount Salak Halimun National Park for preserving the National Park, thank you to Tripadvisor for providing the best reference on my trip this time in exploring Java, and thanks to the tour operator for helping me, Java Private Tour, because if without their intervention, I would never know what the island of Java is like, and I can honestly say that before regarding Indonesia I only knew the island of Bali, but now it looks like I will very adamant will visit java many times.

Thanks to Mr.Edu from Java Private Tour who arranged the planning of climbing 3 mountains in Bogor (Salak, Gede, and Pangrango Mountain) to be realized and run well. Climbing and adventure me and my friends from Singapore was very memorable, this is one of my dreams from childhood to explore the tropical rain forests and mountains on the island of Java. At another time I will return to visit Indonesia, especially Java, to explore the mountains and other tropical rain forests.

We hiked around for about 3 hours and saw some waterfalls. The forest and waterfalls were beautiful, and there were a lot of food stands, so you don’t need to bring too much food; However, we didn’t make it to the summit, so this only applies to shorter hikes around the mountain. If you are going to the summit you should pack food and maybe a tent.

The tour with Wandi, this funny and caring guy who knows everything about the country, the farming, the people and all the plants and animals you will find, was the best thing i‘ve done in my whole five weeks in indonesia.
We‘ve seen the most beautiful sceneries of Java, if it was jungle, the waterfall, while wandering through rice fields, the tea mountain or the amazing view from the bamboo house place we stayed at.
The fold is very good too, Wandi and his friends cooked for us for dinner which was one of the best meals i‘ve had in indonesia.
I asked Wandi about everything that came to my mind about Indonesia and he could always answer me even on the off topic questions.
You will get a very deep inside view of the indonesian people living in the small villages in Bogor Halimun National Park. We visited for example a school or some rice farmers at work. Everything is very authentic and you won‘t see any tourists except your friends and the other people on Wandis tour.
Thank you Wandi for everything and Andi for the save driving!

Well organized and thought through tour! EVERYTHING you need is included, from snacks to a place to sleep. Our tour guide Wandi was very knowledgeable and caring and our driver Omay felt like a safe driver (which can not be said of all drivers we experienced during our trip). Worth taking notice of is that day 2 (in the 3 day package) do require a certain amount of physical shape, since it is pretty long.
Put on your hiking boots and book the tour, you will indeed get your moneys worth! Great experience!

I embarked on my guide’s Agus Pribaldi motorbike for a memorable 2 days trip that felt like a real adventure just an hour outside of bogor! We made our way towards a bamboo house nestled near Mount Salak, hiked towards a waterfall, relaxed in hot springs and enjoyed delicious fresh food prepared at the house. But the best reward came the day after when we hiked towards the active volcano where we could see the Earth boiling and breathing. Really fantastic! It was just us on top! Perfect for anyone who seeks an off the beaten tracks getaway from Jakarta! Agus is very kind and will do everything to make you feel comfortable!

Agus Pribadi was my tour guide and he did an excellent job of showing the attractions of the area and choosing a lovely home stay in the heart of the park where it was possible to take a trek through the unspoilt jungle. This comes highly recommended.

Wir haben kurzfristig, ca. 3 Tage vor Tourbeginn mit Wandi geschrieben. Die Buchung über WhatsApp war unkompliziert und schnell.
Sein Bruder Din und der Fahrer Omay haben sich rührend um uns gekümmert. Das Essen (als Vegetarier hat man es in Indonesien nicht immer einfach) war steht’s ein Traum. So frisch so lecker.
Din hat uns alles erklärt, alle Fragen beantwortet und war immer an unserer Seite.
Die Ausflüge waren traumhaft. Wir würden es jederzeit all unseren Freunden empfehlen eine Tour über Wandi/Din zu buchen. Das Geld ist jeden Cent wert.
Thank you so much Din and Omay. It was a real pleasure to meet you guys and to spend with you 3 wonderful days!

superbe région qui mérite qu'on s'y attarde ! les villages sont authentiques, les découvertes permanentes : de la jungle, des cascades, des villages perdus au milieu des rizieres et des forêts, des sources chaudes et un volcan...à voir sans hésitation, accessible avec des enfants

Hey John,
I will be i Java in Oktober and at the moment I am looking for some trekking tours through the rainforest. Your trip sounds quite interesting. Did I understand correctly, that you didn't hire a guide and went by yourself? Is it easy?
Do you maybe have some other recomandations in Java (regarding rainforests).

Just contact the Java Private Tour, you can google on the internet, they can arrange all your adventure activities, just a few days ago i use the private tour services from the Java Private Tour to adventure climbing 3 mountains in Bogor. Extraordinary did not disappoint, and they was recommended by several embassies

Hello, I will come alone in the park from Bogor. What's the price for 2 days in the park (entrance, night in a basic hut, guide, food) ? Can I find a guide with motorbike in Bogor ? For the night, I need to bring a sleeping bag ? Thanks

It's cheap but you choose to be in danger if you use a motorbike, especially if you are carrying supplies and climbing equipment, just try to contact Java Private Tour, a car rental service company and driver, as well as a professional guide and all the climbing equipment has been provided by Java Private Tour
