Salah satu destinasi wisata di jawa barat, tempat yang cocok untuk para pendaki karena banyak melakukan aktivitas trekking. :)

Wij hebben deze krater bezocht als onderdeel van een dagexcursie. Vanuit De Salak Homestay vertrokken wij voor een korte scooterrit naar het beginpunt van de wandeling. In het begin is er een soort pad aangelegd met allerlei stenen. Persoonlijk vond ik dit niet prettig lopen, geef mij maar de gewone (jungle) ondergrond, maarja.... Ik denk dat we ongeveer 1,5- 2 uur gewandeld hebben. Ik weet het niet meer precies. Soms was het redelijk klimmen, maar het was goed te doen. Goede wandelschoenen zijn wel nodig. Af toe moesten we over boomstammetje klimmen of hierover balanceren. Was een leuke tocht. Op een gegeven moment kwamen er ons al vlagen rotte eierenlucht tegemoet. Teken dat we kennelijk bijna bij de krater waren.
En dan ineens is hij daar....wat een prachtig uitzicht. We hebben hier tijdje gezeten om van het uitzicht te genieten voordat we dezelfde weg terug zouden lopen. Deze ging een stuk sneller trouwens :-)
De rotte eierenlucht viel mij trouwens reuze mee. Mondkapje is mijns inziens niet nodig.
En dan ineens is hij daar....wat een prachtig uitzicht. We hebben hier tijdje gezeten om van het uitzicht te genieten voordat we dezelfde weg terug zouden lopen. Deze ging een stuk sneller trouwens :-)

I love to be around volcanic places, this one is so nice and according to my mood. I would recommend this place to all people who want to enjoy volcanic scenes.

Before we set off I didn't know what to expect, the hike went on for a while up different terrains so if you go make sure you wear suitable footwear. It took us about an hour and a bit to get up to the crater and less time to get back down. As I mentioned I did not know what to expect until i smelt sulphur.. we got to the top of the trail and the views were incredible. Accompanied by our tour guide we also went to a waterfall on the way back that was well worth the visit.

Yang suka outdoor activity mesti coba trek ini, it take about 4 hours v.v. from official gate. Physic mesti OK, bawa bekal makanan dan minuman karena diatas nggak ada yang jualan. Gunakan sepatu yg sesuai treking shoes, trail shoes katena medan berbatu, berlumpur dan licin, bawa jas hujan. Overall sangat menarik, untuk masuk ke kawasan ini : berdua dewasa dan 1 mobil 45 kemudian masuk gerbang pendakian pasir reungit bayar @Rp.15,000,- dan parkir Rp. 20,000,- saya sangat sarankan untuk yang belum pernah supaya memakai guide lokal yg tarifnya sekitar Rp. 350,000. Tidak disarankan untuk jalan sendiri. Waktu yg terbaik untuk datang kesini pagi hari dan tidak dimusim hujan.

Located at Mt. Salak and can be reached from three different location and I took the shortest path but still take some time to get it.
You enter a typical tropical forest, and you will find a lot of trees and heard the gurgling of water flowing from the water source up there it was beautiful melody for me.
After 2 hours walking then we reach the first crater and we smell of sulfur is very stinging, do not rest in a low-lying area, at the in active crater, especially if it is in the valley is very dangerous. Find the higher location to have some rest.
10 minutes after we reach the active crater, it beautiful...

après une magnifique randonnée dans la jungle on arrive au milieu des geysers de boue et d'eau ! c'est epoustouflant ... les flancs du volcan dévoilent cascades et sources chaudes...ça vaut le coup de s'attarder 2 ou 3 jours dans la région

The place is very fascinating. It has a good scenery and not-to-difficult track. The track is full of rocks and in some part is full of water which come from the river. We have to use a propper shoes since to avoid twigs, mud, stone and leeches.
It takes 2-3 hours walking until we reach Ratu Crater. And you will see the good damn beautiful view.. I will be back here again someday..
