Bagi para pecinta keris Nusantara, wajib bagi kalian mengunjungi tempat ini, akrena koleksi didalamnya lumayan lengkap dan ditemani oleh pemandu yang sangat komunikatif dalam memberikan informasi kepada para pengunjung.

Klo ingin mengenal lebih lanjut ttg keris ya d museum keris ini. Jd 1 lokasi dgn kantor pariwisata, kayakny cocok utk kegiatan penambahan pengetahuan anak skolah, ada diorama nya.. ada buku saku nya..ada area parkir,. Masuk berbayar, klo umum 10 rb klo pelajar lebih murah, kalo WNA lbh mahal tp masih terjangko..

Easily accessible in the center of Solo city, it takes just a few minutes to get here. Not really frequently visited maybe a few school trips but generally its quiet and you can take your time to walk around at lesiure.
The museum depicts ancient and historical craftmanship and weapons of defense as well as statues of blacksmiths and how they manufactured the blades.
Laid out over 3 floors and including a short film, staff are friendly and will follow you around if you want information or to help with photos.
You will have to leave your shoes behind but a small locker and key is provided.
Worth a look at if you are in Solo to pass an hour.

Went here as I have an interest in Balinese Hindu culture and Keris blades. Learned so much on my visit, even though most of the information is not in English.
For those prepared to take their time, there is an audio visual available to view, which details the work involved in making a keris.
The sheer diversity of blade designs and intricate details, both on the hilts and the scabbards, will enthral anyone.
Do NOT miss this place, unless you are bired with Indonesian culture.

In a new building the Museum Keris Nusantara holds an extensive collection of sacred kerises (ceremonial swords) displayed in cases and with some models. When we visited we were escorted from floor to floor by two knowledgeable English-speaking guides/escorts (no added cost) who commented and showed special items. Although the signs are in Indonesian, they are picture laden and quite informative about the process of making swords and patterns on the blade. Adjacent is a small gift shop. This special museum is well worth a visit for a look into the heart and soul of Javanese culture.

museum keris yang relatif baru ini, memiliki fasilitas dan display yang terbilang modern. pengunjung disuguhkan dengan penjelasan tentang seluk beluk keris serta koleksi keris dari berbagai penjuru nusantara. toko souvenir tersedia di halaman museum.
