The heroes monument is located in a small park. It's a nice place for a little walk. Beautiful garden and murals about the battle of Surabaya.

I had no idea of the history of Surabaya, but the square, monument and museum all educate a visitor. 10 November 1945 is when the Indonesians started to fight the British for 21 days. The square is well laid out and the monument is striking.
I visited early on a public holiday and it was hard to get into the square, but the museum was open. The football stadium is named after the date of the war.

Nice monument but no history given that I could see. Scrawled on the one of the nearby pillars was Allied Forces Go Away and that really did it for me.

This place is in the central part of surabaya. Which brings the flavour of Surabaya's glorify history.
Well decorated and nicely organised. Good place to time pass with family and friends.
But its needed much more attractions.

Sebelum di renovasi, pedagang Akik dan kaki lima yang lain, bergerombol disini,. Setelah di Relokasi di barat gedung Bank Indonesia, depan SMP- SMA Takmirul,. disanalah pedagang Akik dan Sol sepatu berjajar- jajar, dan disinni pula berumun pedagang pindahan dari Lapangan Tugu Pahlawan Surabaya.
