‪Interesting museum for aircraft Enthusiast, unfortunately not all exhibits were on display at the time, as they were being rebuilt. If you want to see something special, you should call ahead. It is also worth booking a guided tour. A young soldier did a great job on 3.8.22. Many thanks again for this. The soldiers were very friendly.‬

‪My Israeli Airforce Museum experience‬

‪I so much was interested in seeing this exibit that I was tremendously disappointed.

We drove 2 hours to see this museum mainly because I was such a fan of the accomplishments of the Israeli Air Force and have visited several aviation museums before throughout the states. I don't mean to compare museums in the states to Israel but when I have visited museums in the states, the condition of the aircraft look as if you could add fuel and fly them away. Here it is like touring an old bone yard. The condition of the aircraft is terrible with many dirty or missing parts. Look closely at the photos of the museum and you will see planes and vehicles on display with flat tires and tall grass growing around the exibits. Its like no one is even trying to make this an attractive exibit. Some of the displays are nothing more than an old rusty engine or a wrecked vehicle. We literaly saw the entire exibit and walked out within 30 mins.
It wouldn't think it would be hard to get a volunteer group or group of cadets to volunteer to clean up some of the displays. If I lived there I would volunteer myself. There has to be retired aircraft mechinics willing to repair some of the aircraft.
I am sorry to give a bad impression of this place but I was so disappointed that they would even charge for admission. I think its just a shame that these famous aircraft are left in such a state of disrepair.‬

‪היי חברים כדאי ללכת לשם זה נותן לכל גיל קצת על מה שעברנו כמדינה צעירה מלפני 45 שנה למה שהיום כמה ששיפרו את חיל האויר של ישראל וכמובן לומר מילה טובה למדינה שלנו שמקיעה גם במקומות בטחונים כאלו כל הכבוד לצהל‬

‪The museum is a ten minute ride from the city of Beersheva. The planes trace the history of Israel from pre-state to the F-16. If you have the time make a reservation and you can have a guide who will speak your language(NOT only English)‬

‪Great way to spend a few hours‬

‪The Israeli Air Force Museum in Beersheba is very interesting. The outdoor exhibits range from Spitfires to a Boing to bits of burnt out fuselage. The captions accompany each exhibit is well written and some have great stories.
Wear comfortable shoes and in summer an umbrella is absolutely necessary. I saw it in pouring rain! The Heritage hall exhibition wasn’t great though some of the photographs were riveting. It was pretty crowded and noisy when we were there as huge groups of young soldiers were there.‬

‪ביזיון לחיל האויר,לצה"ל ולאנשי ח"א לדורותיהם‬

‪ביקרתי במוזיאון עם תיירים.
ניתן לסכם את התרשמותי בשתי מילים: בושה ומבוכה.
מבוכה מכך שחיל האוויר הישראלי מציג את עצמו ואת מורשתו באופן עלוב כל כך. בושה שחשפתי את הביזיון הזה בפני תיירים.
להלן מעט מאד פרטים על מוזיאון חיל האוויר בחצרים:
א. כל המטוסים ושאר המוצגים ,ללא יוצא מהכלל, מתפוררים ,דהויים וחלודים. לחלקם חסרים חלקים. עקב התפוררות הצמיגים, המטוסים והרכבים כולם עומדים על ה "ג'נטים".

ב. גוף מטוס הבואיג שבו מוצגים סרטי "מורשת" חיל האוויר מזוהם , מושבים שבורים, מוכתמים וחסרים. תא הטייס פרוץ, שמשת המטוס שבורה, בכיתוב על גוף המטוס חסרות אותיות וכו',וכו'....( הרמה הטכנית של הסרטים נמוכה ביותר, התוכן עלוב)

ג. כל שלטי ההסבר דהויים וסדוקים מהשמש עד שאין אפשרות לקרוא . חלקם נטויים על צדם.
חבל על השחתת זמנם של החילות והחילים ,אנשי החובה והקבע , המשרתים במקום .
מן הראוי שהמוזיאון ,שבמצבו הנוכחי מבזה את חיל האוויר על לוחמיו וצוותי הקרקע המעולים לדורותיהם , את צה"ל ואת מדינת ישראל , ייסגר מידית עד שיתאפשר להציג את חיל האוויר ומורשתו באופן הראוי לחיל האוויר המפואר של מדינת ישראל.

נ.ב בחוסר מודעות מדהים למצב המוזיאון נתבקשתי למלא שאלון משוב. מילאתי והשארתי פרטי התקשרות. מיותר לציין: איש כמובן לא התקשר.‬

‪More planes than can be imagined‬

‪A great way to spend a few hours. So very many planes - starting with the earliest, going thru various prop planes thru the Falcons, mustangs to the F-16's. Each has a story- where they were made, how fast they fly, what they were made for, the pros and the cons. Each is also connected with various points in history, the wars of Israel. So very meaningful.
Make a reservation so that you can schedule an English guide ‬

‪Book in adavnce a guided tour in a given language. Much better with a guided tour.
You learn so much about Israel Aviation History and... histories !!‬

‪This is a great place to learn about the history of the IAF. We arranged for an onsite guide to show us around and that made all the difference. I had been there once before without a guide and it wasn't nearly as good.‬

‪I visited museum on Tuesday this week at 1:30PM, but it was closed, despite openning hours are up to 5PM. No information available on site. Check before you go!‬
