Um tesouro de Jaffa: o porto tem milênios de história, sendo uma área com uma vista linda para o Mar Mediterrâneo, com a cidade de Tel Aviv ao fundo, cafés restaurantes e galerias. O pôr do Sol é lindo demais. Parada obrigatória em Jaffa.

Something you must do when visiting Israel! A lovely stroll along the water; see the fresh fish markets and explore the old city. A WORD OF CAUTION: I was stupid enough to set my purse down for 30 seconds to snap a photo and it was stolen. Amidst the throngs of visitors from all over the world, some very dishonest and horrible men lurk about watching eagle-eyed for any opportunity to steal. Whoever took my purse was gone in a flash. Some nearby tourist looked at her photos and we see him in one of her pics grabbing the purse from behind a wall where he was hiding. I can not say this place is dangerous, just use common sense and don't do a dumb thing like I did. (Thankfully I didn't lose phone or passport!)

The port of Jaffa has a venerable antiquity as is the whole city, dating the oldest remains (adobe ruins) to the 16th century BC.
But nothing today recalls that remote period: the layout of the port refers at the most to a medieval and early modern era, when the port was at the service of a prosperous city like Jaffa, and also of a much wider hinterland. At the foot of the historic city extends a large embankment, which did not exist in the past: as an old photo on display here and relating to the citrus trade shows, once you passed directly onto the boats from the stairs that descended from the old city.
Today the commercial fleet has disappeared, the boats present are those of the fishermen, those for pleasure and those that allow tourist navigation in the surroundings.
The embankment along the port houses pleasant places where you can eat and drink. You can walk on it, enjoying the lively character of the place, and the views towards the beaches and skyscrapers of Tel Aviv, to the north.
Overall, the old port is an essential complement to visiting Old Jaffa.

At the end of the beach of Tel-Aviv, there is the city wall and a street long it ...following the sea to the port...old building ( medieval time), door of Jaffa, restaurants and the port

…which forms a nice start or end point to any walk along the beaches. There’s not loads to see here but the buildings are pretty amazing.

Il vecchio porto di Giaffa è molto piccolo, lo si vede già arrivando da lontano, ma in quel momento ci si perde ad ammirare le viette di Giaffa.

This could be a port anywhere. It is old but there is not much activity apart from people strolling and enjoying themselves.

Wandering around Jaffa port is a lot of fun. The views are very nice (although there is quite a bit of construction in some areas just now) and there are a number of restaurants and some shops you can explore. You can also just sit and have a coffee and enjoy the views of the sea.

Jaffa Port began landing cargo and passengers more than 4,000 years ago. Today it is no longer an important port, but you can get a good impression of its past glories.

Es un lugarmuy particular de la ciudad de Tel Aviv. Es moderno y decadente a la vez. Combina perfectamente historia con futuro. Al borde de ese final del Mediterráneo.

Yes, there are nice caffe and restaurant, also one of them with fresh from the sea fish 👍🏼
You go through display? Choose one you like and they will cook for you.
They have horse back riding there too.
Right in port, right next to the sea.
