This is the place to learn more about Incheon Landing, a key event in the Korean War. Along with a memorial obelisk and some weaponry, it also includes a small exhibition detailing the planning, execution and impact of MacArthur's Asia initiative. Very informative introduction to Korean history. The panorama of Incheon port is also remarkable.

A simple war memorial to remember the heroes who have fought the Korean War in Incheon. Spent time to visit their museum with quite comprehensive explanation of the war. Enjoy the walk around the memorial.. suggested to visit if you have time won Incheon.

another must visit site to understand one of the most important events of the Korean war. Close to Walmido and China town and a good place to take a walk if you are stuck at immigration which is a ten minute walk away. get off at Incheon station on the Seoul Incheon number 1 line about one hour from downtown Seoul. there are airporter buses that take you to Walmido - the subway ride from the airport is a bit incovenient multiple transferes.

午後４時１５分頃、タクシーで来ました。ここは日本語の説明が多く、展示内容も分かり安いです。朝鮮戦争でインチョンがソウルのすぐ海岸よりにあり、ソウル奪還には最適な場所だったとのこと。ただ、潮の干満差が大きいので上陸に難があるとのこと。その決断をしたのは連合国軍最高司令官ダグラス・マッカーサー。展示物は上陸用の車両、飛行機などの野外展示、中国義勇軍の武器など豊富でした。インチョンに来たら寄ってみたいところです。

紀念館是免費入場，館內的展板除了韓文，還有英文的簡介，部份更有中文，是一個認識歷史，了解仁川歷史發展的好地方。

학창시절부터 다니던 곳입니다. 성인으로서의 느낌은 많이 다르네요. 하지만, 학창시절 몰랐던 오는길의 효과(등산)와 근처(조금은 거리가 있지만)의 맛집들의 효과를 나이먹고 느낍니다. 전쟁의 개념이 없는 외국친구들에게는 인상깊을 수 있어요.

We visited this imposing memorial on the hop on hop off bus.It can be reached by local bus as well.There are several bronze memorials to the US Marines and South Korean army and an amphibious tractor and artillery displayed.The attached museum gives an interesting account of the 1950 Incheon landing that defeated the Communist North Koreans in the Korean War.

As far as I can recall, there is NO charge for visiting the Memorial Hall. This does not mean there is no charge. I just can't recall if there was one or not. I really enjoyed my visit and I hope to also enjoy yours if you visit the Hall.

Hours are 0900-1800, with last admission at 1730. Closed New Years Day, Mondays (If a holiday falls on a Monday, the site will be open on that day). Admission is free.

Ah I got my museums mixed up, the buses don't go right up to it, but they don't drop you off too far away 10 minute walk maximum!
