‪Great trip to Kandy!‬

‪This was a short trip - just a ride from Colombo to Kandy and back and a day and a half in Kandy - and it was arranged at quite short notice. The driver, Nirmal, was extremely kind and helpful as well as being an excellent driver. At the office, Hasantha organised everything brilliantly. I went with their suggestions for activities, which were all fantastic, but I’m sure they will be happy to tailor things to your ideas too. I really enjoyed my trip to Kandy and this is obviously a company which you can turn to with confidence. They deserve their excellent reputation!‬

‪Great driver and tour guide!‬

‪My wife and I went on an 18 day tour with Sanjaya, our guide and driver. We visited Galle, Ella, Kandy, Habarana and Colombo. Sanjaya is a fantastic driver and took very good care of us.

Our highlight was a village visit where we had a great Sri Lankan lunch cooked by a local woman in her own traditional kitchen. After the meal we went on a safari jeep drive where we saw three different herds of female elephants — with babies — and a solitary male elephant . We also saw peacocks, monkeys, water monitors, eagles, and other creatures. A day to remember.

We would definitely use Sanjaya’s services again.‬

‪Sunil #1 Best Driver‬

‪If you’re looking for a private driver in Sri Lanka, look no further than Sri Lanka Driver Tours.

Hasantha (business owner) met us at the airport with a big smile. He took us to our accomodation and gave us the run down on what to expect from our driver, Sunil the following morning.

We had the best time with Sunil. He was very friendly and was an excellent tour guide during our time in Sri Lanka. Sunil is very knowledgeable about the places we visited and he told us many stories about life in Sri Lanka. Sunil always gave us recommendations for places to eat, he was on time everyday and he helped us arrange tickets for day trips when needed.

Sunil is a positive person and has a great outlook on life. My partner and I were very grateful that Sunil was our driver and we think he is an asset to Sri Lanka Driver Tours.

At the end of the tour, Sunil dropped us off at the airport and we took the attached photo before parting ways.

I cannot recommend this company enough to anyone spending time in Sri Lanka. Although, give yourself longer than 7 days to enjoy the beautiful country. Our only regret is that we were pushed for time. ‬

‪Sld tours and Thushara‬

‪We had a great time touring Sri Lanka with Sld tours and Thushara our driver was amazing. Always offering us information about the places we were visiting and advising us where to go next. He was very friendly, always on time and was good company for us in the car journeys.

There are lots of things to see and do so I would recommend reaching out to your driver prior to coming for any recommendations as well as working with them to select hotels in the best location for your specific route. Also, when designing your route, be mindful of the time it takes to travel between different locations due to the nature of the roads (a 90km journey can take upwards of 3 hours).

It’s a busy holiday so would recommend scheduling some time to relax at the end. We spent two full days at Unawatuna beach town. Overall wonderful experience and would highly recommend.‬

‪Fantastic 14 days with Thivanka as a safe driver‬

‪We, a Belgium couple and our adult daughter, started the 14-day tour in Kandy the day after we had attended the Esala Perahera. Our driver was Thivanka. We had asked for a safe driver, not a guide who would show us all kind of shops and other places that we would not be interested in. We got a perfect driver who was always available, on time, intersted in animal life, who we could easily text to go somewhere in the evening or during daytime. Compared to the taxi drivers and other traffic users in Sri Lanka, Thivanka was an extremely safe driver. We felt completely at ease in the car. Hasantha, the company manager offered us a very fair price for the tour and we could book our accomodation ourselves., We did not have to book the driver's accomodation. We had an excellent means of communication with Hasantha and we could choose our iterinary completely ourselves. Our plan was implemented the way we wanted it to be. Thivanka was a very reliable and friendly person who listened to our remarks and ideas. We had asked for a driver who spoke English well. This was the only negative remark we can give: Thivanka did not have a very good command of the English language. Sometimes we had to explain our ideas in a simplistic way.
Anyway, we will certainly recommend the company to other tourists who would book a private driver.‬

‪Bester Fahrer, den man sich wünschen kann‬

‪Wir waren im August 3 Wochen in Sri Lanka auf einer Rundreise durch das Land mit unserem Fahrer Janake. Der Fahrer war perfekt! Wir wurden am Flughafen abgeholt und bereits hier mit vielen wertvollen Tipps empfangen (Hilfe bei SIM-Karte, Geldautomat,...). Janake ist ein sehr angenehmer, zuverlässiger und sehr informativer Fahrer. Er stand zu jeder Zeit für uns bereits, er hat uns sehr viel über das Land und die Kultur der Menschen erklärt. Egal welche Frage im Urlaub aufkam, Janake konnte sie lösen, hatte eine Idee oder kannte jemanden, den er wieder fragen konnte. Wir hatten die Route vorgeplant. Die einzelnen Punkte hatte er sich sehr gut angeschaut und immer nochmal zusätzliche Tipps oder Angebote in den entsprechenden Gegenden parat. Es war wunderbar. Er zeigte uns wunderbare einheimische Restaurants, begleitete uns in Tempel, war mit uns auf Safari, führte uns zu passenden Geschäfte, buchte Ausflüge, Zugtickets, Sitzplatzkarten,... Absolut unbezahlbar! Das Auto war immer top sauber und wir haben uns beim Fahren immer sehr sicher gefühlt. Wann immer ich nochmal eine Reise in Sri Lanka machen kann, ich werde in jedem Fall Janake als Fahrer wählen!‬

‪Experiencia perfecta en Sri Lanka con Thilak‬

‪Contratamos está empresa por recomendación de unos amigos. Sin duda, fue un acierto. Desde el principio contactamos con Hasantha para organizar nuestro viaje. Dijimos los días que teníamos (13 en total) y adaptaron perfectamente el itinerario a nuestros días. Además tuvimos que hacer alguna modificación y no hubo ningún problema. Conforme llegamos al aeropuerto de Sri Lanka nos estaban esperando con un cartel con nuestros nombres.

Nuestro conductor fue Thilak y fue una gran experiencia. Nos sentimos muy seguros con su conducción, siempre muy prudente y estaba atento a cualquier petición que teníamos a lo largo del camino. Nos llevó a visitar todos los sitios que queríamos ver y además nos ayudó con algunas gestiones sobre precios para las excursiones, cambiar dinero, etc. Siempre fue muy puntual.

Nos ha parecido la mejor opción para aprovechar al máximo nuestra experiencia en Sri Lanka.

Desde luego, recomendaría esta compañía y en especial a nuestro conductor, Thilak.

Si quieres aprovechar los días y sentirte seguro, no lo dudes y escoge a Thilak. ‬

‪An amazing trip around Sri Lanka‬

‪The driver we had was amazing. Always offering us information about the places we were visiting and working hard to get us the best prices with places and things around our trip. He came with us to almost every ticket office of what we were doing to ensure we got in and understood what we were doing. He was kind attentive and always kept his car clean. A good driver and safe. ‬

‪Hemos pasado los primeros 13 días de septiembre en Sri Lanka con esta compañia. Hasantha, el manager, nos ayudó mucho a preparar el itinerario y obtener los billetes de tren desde Nanuoya a Ella. El recorrido se adaptó muy bien a nuestros dias de viaje y nuestras peticiones, ya que queriamos ver lo máximo posible pero tambien terminar con unos días de relax en la playa. Tuvimos que dar una señal antes de ir para reservarlo y fue lo único que dió algún problema ya que al ser una transferencia internacional, tuvimos que pagar muchas comisiones. Quiza se podría mejorar la forma de reservar con algún otro medio de pago (por ejemplo Paypal).
Thilak fue nuestro conductor. Nos recogió en el aeropuerto y nos acompañó en los 13 días que pasamos allí. Un conductor muy seguro y prudente en las locas carreteras de Sri Lanka. Todos los días fue puntual al recogernos y se adaptó a los cambios que propusimos durante el viaje. También nos ayudó a contratar alguna actividad durante el camino negociando el precio y a cambiar dinero a un precio justo. Es muy respetuoso y te ofrece el tiempo necesario para que puedas ver los monumentos y templos durante el viaje.
En resumen, una compañia de confianza si buscas un conductor para tu viaje en Sri Lanka. Pide a Thilak :)‬

‪Amazing trip with Roshan‬

‪Roshan have been very careful driver, great tour guide during my trip in Sri Lanka. The most important thing to mention that for one night I had to go to the ER hospital and Roshan stayed up all night with me until this discharge me out of the hospital safely.‬
