Bueno...Seguramente no será la mejor cascada o salto de agua que has visto.
Ni la más alta, ni la más espectacular. Tampoco es eso.
Pero el entorno y el momento hacen el resto.
Y estás solo. Solos. Todo para ti.
Y eso es motivo más que suficiente para llegar hasta aquí.
Parece que no es muy popular o muy promocionado por los lodges de la zona...Es un lugar realmente recomendable, pero tampoco será la portada de tus sueños...Hay que moderar las expectativas
Aunque creo sinceramente que vale mucho la pena dedicarle un ratito de tu estancia en el lugar.
Es un gran contrapunto al resto de tu experiencia en la zona.
Después de tanto polvo y tantas horas sentado en tu vehículo recorriendo pistas de tierra, andar un poco y refrescarte en esas aguas...es una gran sensación.
Pero cuidado. Tampoco es un paseo.
No hay dificultad, ni una gran exigencia física, pero creo que debes llevar un buen calzado.
Recomiendan, mínimo, unas sandalias bien fijadas. Pero creo que es insuficiente, la verdad.
Mejor un calzado cerrado. Unas deportivas.
Se mojaran totalmente. Hay que vadear el rio varias veces. No importa. Pero te ofrecen seguridad. Y esas piedras...puedes llevarte un golpe...un corte...nada importante, seguro. Pero puede condicionar el resto de tus vacaciones..
Y con ese clima...en un par de horas estarán totalmente secas.
Quizás unas sandalias en tu mochila para cambiarte cuando salgas de la zona... algo de agua si es un día caluroso...y olvídate de una gran cámara...
Usa tu móvil o cualquier aparato que puedas llevar en tu mochila.
Necesitarás las manos libres.
Cuidado...despacito...a tu ritmo...pero es un gran momento y un contrapunto perfecto a tus días en esta zona.
No te lo pierdas!!.
Hoy comerás con hambre!!

From our camp close to Natron lake, we hiked to Ngare Sero waterfall with an excellent Masai guide, who spoke English fluently.
This is a sportive trail (5 km return trail, by the same path); our guide recommended us to have shoes that we could wear in the water. In fact, we hiked along the river on a steep and stony path and several times we had to walk in the river bed (sometimes with water up to our knees).
On arrival, we saw the beautiful Ngare Sero waterfall, flowing into a natural swimming pool of crystalline and transparent color, in which we swam down with great pleasure !!!
Our guide climbed the walls of the canyon to show us and pluck a branch of a quinine tree (Cinchona pubescens) and of other trees, in order to explain its medicinal properties to us.

Nice trekking, at times slippery and arduous but not very long, to get to a waterfall and two pools. Worth it

Beautiful hike on the rift valley to the water falls. It's approx 44mins hike on Rocky... Remember to wear comfortable clothes and shoes with good grip as the hikes is on rocks and passing through the rivers.
Its fun and some places it can test your fitness levels, especially if not so fit but it's totally worth it.. It not to the extremes it's a doable hike. The maasai guides are very helpful and supportive.

Beh…. tanta acqua così, in un safari, non te l'aspetti … ma è davvero un angolo incantevole, pure un po' freschino.

Avant d'arriver dans ces chutes, une petite marche le long de la rivière et même il faut la traverser quelque fois (avec de l'eau jusqu'en haut des genoux); des chaussures inadaptées rendent cette partie assez technique.
Arrivé au niveau des chutes, avec une jungle littéralement suspendue au dessus de ce site (arbres, lianes, lichen...). L'eau est à bonne température et la chute laisse derrière elle accès à un rapide "descendant" qui fait sur vous un effet balnéo massant.

The falls are really nice and the possibilty to take a swim once there is the plus of the excursion.
You go there guided by a masai man and this adds value at the experience itself.
Just be careful during the walk as some parts are slippery!

nous avions été mal informés au sujet de cette activité. Les gorges de la rivière Ngare Sero sont très belles et c'est aventureux de longer la rivière ou de la traverser les jambes dans l'eau. Hélas, nous n'avons pas osé aller jusqu'à la grande chute, car le tronc d'arbre en travers était glissant pour l'escalader.
Prévoir des chaussures qui agrippent bien et qui peuvent aller dans l'eau.
J'aurais aimé avoir mon sac étanche pour y prendre mon appareil photo.
Je recommande. A choisir avec le lac Natron, j'ai de loin préféré cette activité.
De niveau difficile, car il faut marcher sur des rochers et traverser la rivière où il y a quand même du courant. J'ai 61 ans et je l'ai fait.
Prévoir des chaussures qui agrippent bien et qui peuvent aller dans l'eau.

Amazing place , lest visited the areas is so really natural and beauty. Spectacular water penetrating from the rocks and form a swimming pool then a river . Must visit
