Our family of 5 had a good time visiting The Tanzanite Experience in Arusha. We were greeted by very friendly staff and offered hot and cold refreshments. We watched a short movie that explained the history of the Tanzanite, and then we visited a model of a mine where this gem is mined in Tanzania.
We purchased a stone and I had my ring made there. Huge thanks to lovely Ritta, who provided great guidance in the process and took care of everything, including delivery of the ring to the hotel.

Amazing experience! Clinton was a fantastic guide. The tour was interesting and informative. He also helped me carefully choose the perfect tanzanite gem to purchase.
Initially, I decided to have my gem mounted into a necklace, but I changed my mind the next day and wanted it made into a ring instead. I contacted The Tanzanite Experience through WhatsApp and Rita was amazing in assisting me with this change. She patiently answered all of my questions and ensured the adjustment was done in the safest way for the gem. Her expertise and attention to detail gave me complete confidence in the process.
Overall, the staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make this a great experience. I highly recommend The Tanzanite Experience, the tour and the store!

The Tanzanite Experience is THE place to go for Tanzanite stones and jewelry. I actually ordered online (from Switzerland) as I was looking for an engagement stone and Eunice, along with the entire sales team, were incredibly helpful. Eunice responded extremely quickly and shared photos of many stones with detailed descriptions making it possible for me to the find the perfect one. Payment was secure, fast and easy and confirmation from the sales team was fast and professional. The stone was shipped via DHL express within the estimated delivery time and arrived safely and securely. Included with the stone were the signed authentication documents and some information on the stone itself which was wonderful and interesting to read. I appreciate that all aspects of the processing and documentation of the stone are done locally. I hope I can visit their museum one day in the future (I have heard from friends and family who have visited that it is even more impressive in person). If you're looking for a special stone with great provenance look no further!

It was really nice experience to learn more about Tanzanite and its history. The tour was very efficient and well delivered by knowledgable guide - Mwantum. I highly recommend her as your guide, if you have an opportunity to chose. On top we had a chance to familiarise with the store offer without any uncomfortable pressure. Great place to visit!

This is a complete experience with the Tanzanite precious stone from its discovery through its extraction in mine to its process to become the sparkling beautiful jewlery!
It’s the best show of mining with a movie and displays.
If you are lucky to be guided by Gilbert, than the experience is unforgettable!
Gilbert knows everything about Tanzanite and takes time to give you all information, answers to all your questions patiently and with a smile.
We were very much impressed by such a young yet passionate professional. Thanks Gilbert!

Great experience, thanks to Fortunata we know everything about Tanzanites and how they are produced. She was super helpful and patient and answered all of our questions professionally. Thanks to Evarest, who was a great consultant we were able to purchase the right jewellery for us.

We looked at 6 tanzanite shops to purchase a memorable gift for our holiday and each time was disappointed until we met Beverly Laizer at the Arusha Airport shop. She was simply amazing, understood the mission and arranged for the purchase of an expensive item to be deleivered from a previous store, resized and transported to our hotel in Zanzibar. Further to this we made two further purchases we had not expected to make. No sales pressure. A really delightful experience made possibly by Beverly.

I had a very good experience at The Tanzanite Experience in Arusha. We had a tour of the mining process followed by shopping. I created a custom earring and the process was smooth and professional. The two sales associates, Ritta and Derrick were helpful, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. The final product turned out well and they even delivered to the hotel!

I am going to visit Arusha and would like to purchase some tanzanite for gifts. Wonderin are the prices at each store location the same as found at the museum's store? Can you find jewelry of the Maasai Ladies Project at all locations?

The Tanzanite experience office is upstairs and a locked showroom that I believe your guide can get you into. First they set you down and show you a video which you can see now on YouTube and I do believe they are much cheaper and you can ask for a better price after they give you the price and they should takeoff a few hundred dollars. The cultural heritage center they might take you to. Also in Arusha would be much more expensive and they sell mostly loose stones. You can buy beautiful, set stones as well as loose stones at the Tanzanite experience. Maasai, jewelry and clothing, and or fabrics can be purchased, if you are going to a Maasai village, very reasonably, I don’t know your itinerary so I don’t know where you will be. if you’d like to phone me my phone number is area code 818-383-7988.

Yes.
I have a beautiful ring with a brown quartz center stone ): I just need to get the stone measured and they can send me options on colors and pricing and ship me the stone.
They also have a service were you could send the ring to their Dubai location and it could be set for you. Good luck!

Hi,
The rings normally start from USD180 depending on the type of metal used (silver, gold or platinum), size, colour, clarity and cut of the stone and details of the ring itself. Some are embedded with Diamonds while others with Zircons.

Hi, yes The Tanzanite Experience was open in 2011 with a museum and shop however since then it has gone under new ownership and has had a total refurbishment with the museum being much more interactive and featuring a life size replica of a tanzanite mine shaft now.
