I echo all of the 5-star reviews regarding Kilimanjaro Experts. My two sons and I did the Alternative Lemosha route with a deviation and the entire crew of 18 supporting us was highly professional, personable and supportive. My two sons were able to complete the ascend and I got within a mile before deciding that my breathing was hindering my progress and that I needed to stop and head down (I am 73 years old). Our group leader, Kefas, was with us every step of the way from our initial briefing until we returned to the hotel in Arusha . As others have mentioned, David in the home office and the crew in Tanzania, took care of every need.
After our Kili trek, we engaged KE for a 5-day safari of Tanzania and experienced the same high level of service and professionalism from our driver/guide Barackas. He was very congenial and took care of to make sure that during the 5 days we saw incredible wildlife and had every need met.
We have no reservations in recommending Kilimanjaro Experts to anybody looking for the experience of a lifetime. Thank you David, Kefas, Barackas and crew.

Kilimanjaro Experts have been nothing but professional, friendly and competent from top to bottom and beginning to end.
We had to postpone a long scheduled trip up Kilimanjaro and a safari to Ngorongoro, Manyara and Serengeti at the very last moment. Kilimanjaro Experts was able to rebook everything quickly and at no additional cost and off we went!
Being 61 and 70, we were not the youngest people on the mountain, and we were very happy to have to moral and physical support of our guides and porters. It was hard, but we made it!
The safari was also incredible experience for us -- it has still not quite sunk in to see this African nature paradise. Just look at the wild cat we saw!

My husband and I have just returned from successfully climbing Kilimanjaro following the 9 day alternative Lemosho Route with Northern Circuit extension. We also experienced a 3-day safari to Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara National Parks, all organised by Kilimanjaro Experts.
The company delivered an unforgettable experience, from the minute we got off the plane at Kilimanjaro airport they took care of all the details, looked after us during the trek to Uhuru Peak and delivered an outstanding experience on safari.
On our trek to Uhuru peak we were guided by Robert and assistant Guide Irene, both were very professional, knowledgeable and very friendly Robert could not have been more helpful and ensured our every need was met. No trek would have been possible without the help and assistance of our team of unbelievable porters including the chef and his assistants. We were spoiled by the quality of the food that somehow was produced under very trying conditions.
All of the team willingly contributed to us making it to the top and back down, giving us the experience of a lifetime.
If Kilimanjaro exceeded expectations the 3 day safari led by our knowledgeable Guide and driver Beno Beno was an equally outstanding trip discovering the amazing African wildlife.
All of this adventure was organised by Kilimanjaro Experts, initially through Henry who patiently answered all questions put to him regarding various aspects of the trip and Joshua who was based in Arusha. We found everyone involved with Kilimanjaro Experts to be genuine, extremely competent, professional and most of all very friendly. We have no reservations in recommending Kilimanjaro Experts to anybody looking for the experience of a lifetime.

8 days Lemosho with mixed group, and 5 days private safari. Though I had a bad experience with my eyes, (you must protect your eyes against the wind and dust on the top of Kilimanjaro) I had a very good time in Tanzania with Kilimanjaro Experts.

My husband and I used Kilimanjaro Experts after reading Henry's guidebook several years' ago. We particularly liked how KE supported the wellfare of porters and ensured they were properly paid, well fed and looked after. We opted to climb the Machame route over 7 days selecting new moon dates with three days in Zanzibar (1 day in Stone Town and 2 days at the wonderul Pongwe Hotel) afterwards.
We were not left disappointed with what KE provided - they were incredible from the early pre-booking stage through to ensuring we arrived back at Mweke gate safe and sound. They advised on hotels to stay at, were very patient with the numerous questions we had and planned everything including airport transfers and hotels bookings and of course the entire climb. For our climb, we were incredibly well supported by a crew of 16, including lead guide Abdallah, Assistant guides Macmillan and Mariam and fed by Roger and a team of AMAZING porters who worked as super humans, supporting our adventure. The tent, mats, food, personal toilet all helped make camping up a mountain much more bearable, allowing us plenty of opportunity to recover our tired muscles once arriving at each camp.
Our friends and family loved reading our updates on social media and we have a huge selection of photos that the guides took during our climb.
I would highly recommend booking your climb through Kilimanjaro Experts.

We summited with Kilimanjaro Experts 2/12/23. We could not have been happier with our choice. Chief Guide Robert and assistants Abdullah and Fakhir were encouraging and informative for the whole trip. The attention to our health and safety was clearly the highest priority for them. This is not an easy adventure but the whole crew made sure we were well fed, organized and able to put in our best efforts. I highly recommend Kilimanjaro Experts for anyone considering the climb.

We used Kilimanjaro Experts to provide my Kilimanjaro trek and a safari for my wife and me. Henry was excellent and answered my many email questions honestly and quickly and provided plenty of information. They are a KPAP Company so looked after the welfare of the porters and pay them fairly. Beware of some other Companies who wrongly and rather naughtily claimed to be KPAP members or were a little vague.
The organisation was superb. Shabani, the lead guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and supportive and without his great help, I'm not sure I could have reached the summit. The Lemosho route chosen provided some great views of Kilimanjaro and seemed to be much quieter than the other routes.The assistant guide was friendly although her limited English did hinder her effectiveness as an assistant guide. The porters were amazing, always smiling , helpful, supportive and respectful despite the hard work. The quality of the food was incredible ( you would have been happy with it in a restaurant! ). Sleeping mats provided were good. Nice to have a private toilet as the public toilets smelt terribly. Having a porter to carry your daypack on the summit climb was appreciated. It was very cold at the top and the guide lent me some gloves as mine were inadequate. The meal with the porters and guides afterwards in Moshi was a great idea which reinforced our togetherness.
The safari was a great success. We visited Taranguire, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti and saw the big 5 including a leopard eating its impala prey up a tree. Also saw a crocodile and cheetah.
Sule, the guide , was very knowledgeable, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for him. He had an uncanny and skilful knack of spotting the animals whilst driving. He was a safe driver and the vehicle provided was very comfortable.
I highly recommend Kilimanjaro Experts for your trip of a lifetime. You won't be disappointed.

My wife and I have just returned from a 9-day trek up Kilimanjaro (Alternative Lemosho Route with Northern Circuits extension) followed by a 3-day safari to the Ngorongoro crater and nearby reserves, all organised by Kilimanjaro Experts. We cannot praise this company highly enough for the experience they delivered for us, from our initial enquiries a year ago right through to our successful summiting of Uhuru Peak and the diversity of wildlife we were able to see on safari.
You expect Kilimanjaro to be magnificent – and it is – but for us, equally memorable and inspiring were the professionalism, friendliness and support of the team that Kilimanjaro Experts put together to guide us up the mountain and ensure our safety, well-being and enjoyment of the journey to get there. Our Guide, Robert, and Assistant Guide, Irene, were skilled, knowledgeable and encouraging throughout, providing complete assurance for our party through the expertise they demonstrated. We developed strong friendships with both through the trip. The head cook, Athuman, conjured up food of quite outstanding variety, quality and tastefulness throughout the trip in utter defiance of the facilities available to him in a tent on the flanks of a mountain. The porters left us in awe with their unfailing positivity, stamina and strength and, again, their friendship towards us. We understand Kilimanjaro Experts to be one of the more ethical companies guiding on the mountain, in terms of how they support their porters and employees, and this certainly seemed to be reflected in the cohesion and positivity of the team supporting us.
Our reflections of the safari are equally positive and we could not have had a more helpful and informed driver and guide than Beno Beno, who showed us around the quite outstanding wildlife that the Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara National Parks have to offer. He had a name for everything and infinite patience with our innumerable requests to stop for ‘just another’ picture of whatever bird or animal was just passing by.
All this was backed up by thorough and professional organisation before and throughout our trip by Henry, Joshua and David, Henry responding promptly and helpfully to our countless email requests for advice and guidance in the weeks and days leading up to departure.
All in all we could not fault any aspect of Kilimanjaro Experts’ service and the experience they delivered for us both on the mountain and on safari, and we would recommend them without hesitation to anyone considering either venture.

An amazing experience, for me a once in a lifetime. Absolutely the most difficult challenge I've experienced however Kilimanjaro Experts made me feel safe and capable. Each individual on this team are top notch, friendly and competent. I am in awe at what they do. I highly recommend this agency, they are descent to their employees and make every effort for you to succeed in your climb to the roof of Africa.

From the start, Henry was an excellent communicator and responded quickly and thoroughly to all emails and questions we had. Everything was laid out in an organized manner which made our options easy to navigate. After selecting our route and our safari itinerary, we headed off to Africa. Our trek was filled with incredible guides, porters, and a cook that was well beyond our expectations. The successful trek went without a glitch…perfect from start to finish. As for the safari, it surpassed all expectations into the unbelievable range!!! Our guide Nassary was the best part of the entire trip! He was knowledgeable, a professional driver, and caring to our every needs. He was beyond amazing! I would ABSOLUTELY trust Henry and his team to put together a trip of a lifetime for you as he did for us! Thank you Kilimanjaro Experts!
