Loved going by boat to this market, but found it rather commercialised. Disappointed with prices etc but enjoyed the experience.

Do not buy...just enjoy the ride and sightseeing and food.
It is something worth seeing for sure. The prices are exaggerated.

The place is certainly can not be compared to the Floating market in Bangkok but it is somewhere to spend your time but shopping can be expensive in this place. There should be more stores open by now. The Food court is very nice. We tried the Barbecue alligator here and it was fantastic. What did it taste like? Yes... like chicken or pork. You can never tell it was an alligator meat.

This was included as part of our tour; but it is nothing more than a tourist trap.
Lunch was nice and then all you see are lots of markets selling the same old stuff - you couldn't even sit outside and admire the floating Village as the view was obscured.

Was really looking forward to visiting the new floating markets as I heard they were very good, what a disappointment !! Firstly it was not free for visitors only Thais, it was a rip off, the boat ride was less then 1 minute and cost 100thbt, every shop was the same, there was nothing to do and the food was very ordinary and disappointing. The staff were not friendly or helpful, 200thbt entry for nothing, avoid at all costs!!!!

I have travel to the market but it’s been close for quite long time it seems to be abandoned. I have ask some people there they told me that it’s been closed because lack of business

I enjoyed this place with friends , and had lunch in some restaurant inside the floating market, affordable food prices with delicious and good services.

is it worth going to the floating market in august 2017, just red reviews sounds like a hit or miss ? looking for new attractions I have been to patong nearly every year since 2004 and getting board 10 times to simons , fantasea , cashew factory, big Buddha ,wat Chalong temple, bangla road.
