This is an amazing design & build. Ongoing and has been for over 10years. One must appreciate the effort, work, dedication that has been forwarded by 100’s & 100’s of workers over the last decade. I believe it’s been built by donations after the foundations were in place. I’ve been here many times and at all stages of the day to film, shoot and capture sunrise, sunsets and fly the drone. Take the 150steps up to the Buddha and experience how big this Buddha really is. A must see up close.

Save your money and just hire a driver instead of using this place. The guide spent a total of 15 minutes providing and overview and the let us walk around the various locations on our own. We also hired a private tour since we were told they would be a flexible on where we went, but there was limited flexibility. For example, we asked to go to Promthep Cape instead of stopping at three other places, but they wouldn't go there because it was part of any of their tours. That would have been useful information when we asked about them being flexible and were told they were.

This Place has a great view, plenty of walking and is spiritual and worth a visit. But it is what it says on the tin, a template on top of a mountain and not a major tourist attraction. It has toilet facilities and some refreshments; there is car parking, you don't want to walk up it's a VERY LONG and STEEP climb. We wrote a message on some marble which is going onto the Buddha, which is pretty impressive.

nous avons réserver via notre hôtel cette demi journée qui comprend plusieurs visite big buddha ok éléphant ok après cela ce résume a un tournée de different boutique ou l'on vous jette dedans pour dépenser du fric torréfaction de cacahuète 2mn d'explication et go to the boutique, ferme des abeilles ben pas d'abeilles et encore moins de ruches !!!!!! juste une boutique avec des produits a base de miel bidonnnnnnn !!!!! après boutique de bijoux ??????? ok on a eu un employé coller a nous durant toute la visite du magasin a essayer de nous vendre ses bijoux ?????? après le comble visite des tigres ben pas de visite si vous payer pas pour faire une photo a 1600 Bath min par personne alors 2000 Bath par personne plus 3200 Bath de photos vaut mieux aller a khôl phi phi pour 7000 Bath avec le repas du midi inclus
ah oui la guide mon dieu !!!!!! elle a que le nom de guide aucune explication elle nous a jeter comme des chiens a chaque elle penser plus a rigoler avec le chauffeur de taxis et quand je lui ai dit que nous n'étions pas content elle est parti sans nous dire au revoir au milieu de la route il a fallu se deBROUILLER pour retrouver notre chauffeur pour rentrer a l'hôtel environ 45 mn de route

Not the greatest tour and no real commentary of any worth from the “English speaking tour guide”. The Buddha is not completed yet and looks more like a construction site. Views are amazing but apart from that it is pretty average. Seeing a baby elephant chained to a pole is not an attraction either though I did get a chance to educate my children in some of the nasty things in the world. Most if not all of the other sites were tourist sales stops with no education eg cashew nuts and bees. All were sales pushes and the turtle sanctuary had been demolished for a hospital. Highlights were the aquarium and old Phuket town. You don’t need a guide for that and definitely not pay the amount that we did for this tour. We finished about two hours early.

Le tour proposé à la journée est bien. Un peu cher mais ça en vaut le détour. A près de 3000 thb par personne on decouvre la plupart des principaux sites de phuket (big buddha, chalong temple, phuket aquarium). Ce qui est bien, le guide propose autre chose non inclus dans le programme dont une activité et qu'il pleut peut avoir une incidence sur le parcours.
L'inconvénient nous sommes arrivés 2 heures en avance. Le guide était étonné d'avoir tout fait sans prendre le temps de regarder l'heure. Des mensonges sur mensonges.

Great place to spend a few hours and it's free. The Thai People have been building this Big Buddha Statue for over 10 years and it is almost complete. The ride up to the top of the mountain is so scenic on a nice concrete road so motorbikes make it up there just fine. Take a half of day and ride up the mountain and see what the Thai construction workers have done with the donations they have received for construction materials. You can now walk up the 150 steps to the top of the Big Buddha statue as the outside of it is completed. The inside of it will be completed shortly but more donations are needed for construction materials. Many Buddhist Monks are living on site at the top of the Big Buddha Stature and for a few cents you can sit down with them for an individual or family blessing.There is also some nice Thai cultural gifts available for sale up their but no food is sold or allowed with the exception of ice cream cones and cold drinks. Great place for taking photos so bring your cameras or smart phones for years of great memories.

Why it was worth this trip is the guide who was absolutely professional and super friendly. She could answer all of our questions about anything, I learnt a lot about the people culture, etc. What we did not like is that they carried us to places where we could buy souvenirs and high quality jewelleries but even in the smallest shop we were continuesly followed by the staff and were told what and how to use,buy, etc. Another good point is the marvellous view points, the baby elephant and the nice lunch.

Don't book a tour with tis company. This tour is a total rip off. I was stupid booking this one. Way too expensive for what you get. In the afternoon the tourguide left me alone with the chauffeur because she had to pick up another group. The chauffeur however didn't speak English at all so he couldn't explain anything to me. He brought me to a shopping center but didn't pick me up again so I had to take a taxi back to the hotel for 400 baht. Shame on them! I sent an email to this company, but no reply whatsoever.

Had the greatest time with Hayat on our Weekend Trip! As our exclusive guide (we didn't expected to be the only 2 on the trip!) she showed us the best of Phuket's heritage and answered all of our questions. At first some little tourist shops, where you're kindly welcomed, but not obliged to buy. Next, interesting and yummy cashew nut factory, honey farm (not so cool - as for the staff of the farm), beautiful orchid garden and the stunning jewelry shop. Breathtaking Chalong Temple, overwhelming Big Budda, cutest baby elephant feeding and some wicked shopping time at the Phuket's weekend market!
To sum up - the best trip to get to know Phuket!
