I’m not sure on booking the trip , I’m guessing you can , we just rode a scooter and dropped in on the way past . It relies on donations to survive however I’m not sure if the cost to get in at the gates goes to the fund . Cheers

We only spent about 20 minutes at the project. Its great but only tiny - you won't need loads of time.

The Gibbon Project is free. Entry to the Khao Phra Taew Royal Wildlife & Forest reserve costs 200 THB each.

Hi, we went to visit the gibbon rehab centre and walk up to the waterfall but not around the nature reserve. We spent 2 hours there in total and we had a good long chat with the rehab volunteers. It is definitely worth a trip - the 200bhat entrance is just for the park/waterfall so none of that goes to the gibbon rehab so take bit extra if you want to donate to them. Hope that helps.

Bonjour, C’est difficile de trouver des taxis au centre de rehabilitation comme c’est un peu au milieu de nul part. Si vous êtes confortable avec un scooter, vous pouvez louer un scooter pour la journée et venir nous voir ou sinon si vous préférez prendre un taxi, la meilleur façon sera de commander un taxi le matin qui reste avec vous toute la journée. 200 baht to enter the Falls - but this does not go the the Grc - they rely on donations - before lunch is when they are more active and noisiest.

Taxis are very cheap. Just check the price before you set off.

i didn't do a tour, so I can't comment if that is what you are referring to, but it is certainly possible to go to the Gibbon Project independently of a tour, whether that be in your own transport or a taxi. I recommend taking the ferry to the floating restaurants on coconut island on the way back to phuket for lunch or dinner. :)
