The ONLY place I make sure to frequent when I'm passing through town. Stan always remembers my name even though it's been thirty years since I attended college here, best bar experience ever.

Great college town bar. 8 of us stopped for drinks. Bathrooms need cleaning, other than that it had a good vibe and cool stuff all over the walls.

Spent a couple of evenings in Alex's during my college reunion weekend. It has the same atmosphere as I remember, a good college bar with a large beer selection and a good amount of seating. the obligatory pool table is there as well. Of course, being there when school is out of session is a bit different, so the crowd was not as large, but the place still retains the same type of atmosphere from my days at Alfred (MANY years ago!).

If you want to go back to your college days of hanging at a bar with friends drinking and playing pool, you will like this place. It is not a trendy place at all. It is what it is a college watering hole.
