‪ذهبت للنزهة هنا كما يحب البريطانيون القيام به. إنه فوضوي بالقمامة ويمكن الاعتناء به أكثر كالمعتاد حيث يوجد رجال يجلسون عند المدخل على كراسي بلاستيكية على هواتفهم مما يجعل الأمر مزعجًا وأعتقد أنهم معروفون برجال الكهف، يبدو الأمر صحيحًا.‬

‪A small but nice island with an old castle on it. Worth a walk around when in town. There are a number of benches inside to take a rest from the heat. Free.‬

‪Not in mint condition but an authentic erstwhile Byzantine fortress‬

‪I enjoyed the way you could just stroll around this old Byzantine (not crusader as some have mis-labelled it) castle on an islet away from the tourist hub and crowds, and explore its nooks and crannies at your leisure. The six-century-old castle works well as a high volume pigeon loft and is not in the best shape having been very neglected for a long time. But this was part of its charm for me, it’s wasn’t some immaculate, historic, tarted-up for tourists palace or fortress with long queue lines, highly regulated and the usual rigmarole. The castle had an authentic feel for me, commensurate with its age and vicissitudes.‬

‪Went for a walk here like British like to do. Its messy with rubbish and could be looked after more as usual there are men sitting around at the entrance on plastic chairs on their phones making it unpleasant I believe they are known as cave men, seems about right.‬

‪Belle forteresse bien rénovée. Petite promenade agréable. Belles vues. Pour s'y rendre c'est à pied , taxi ou minibus n°5. Attention, les marches peuvent être glissantes, il n'y a pas de mains courantes.pour moi, accès aux fauteuils roulants n'est pas possible. Il y a des marches aussi à l'intérieur, et lorsqu'on descend, on ne les voit pas, elles sont de la même couleur que le chemin. Faites attention ‬

‪Piękny zamek na wyspie połączonej z lądem. Pięknie widoczny z kilku miejsc w Kusadasi. Ze względu na ograniczony czas, podszedłem pod zamek ale nie zwiedzałem go w środku pomimo takiej możliwości. Na pewno tu wrócę, żeby dokładnie go zwiedzić i poznać szczegółowo jego historię. Myślę, że obowiązkowy punkt do zobaczenia będąc w Kusadasi.‬

‪This is a sympathetically restored castle out on Pigeon island.
There’s a number of information boards providing helpful back stories to castle and surrounding area.
