If your in the market for a Turkish rug or carpet, then this is your spot and well worth the trek to find them.
We didn't buy this time (no luggage allowance) but we stayed for an hour chatting to Ruth and what a pleasure this was. Her stock and experience on Turkish flooring is reason to go and speak to her alone..... enjoy.

We had such a lovely time meeting Ruth and seeing her lovely carpets. We have seen many carpet stores throughout Turkey, and I can confidently say that her selection is some of the highest quality and definitely best priced we have seen. Ruth is has an incredible wealth of knowledge about all of the carpets she sells, and she is deeply connected with each of the communities in the area producing these beautiful carpets.
Ruth’s store has every style of carpet you could possibly seek, from modern takes on classic styles, to traditional Hereke, to Persian carpets. What she offers, that is rare in other stores, is antique carpets and carpets from smaller villages throughout Turkey. Turkey has a very vibrant carpet making tradition, and each region has very striking and unique styles, techniques, designs, and colors. She really opened my mind to regions and traditions I had not seen previously.
We truly enjoyed our time in Ruth’s store and talking with Ruth. Visiting her store is a must while you’re in Göreme!

You will find a wide variety of authentic, high quality and absolutely gorgeous rugs and kilims at reasonable prices. Ms. Ruth, the owner of the gallery, is so helpful and a real rug expert with over 30 years of experience in the business.

Best carpet shop in Cappadocia!!!
If you are looking to buy a Turkish rug on your visit to Capadocia or even Turkey then you should go here.
It’s a lovely shop nestled in alley in Göreme, very pretty and once you go in there Toni’s like aladin cave- you are spoilt for choice with Carpets and rugs. Antique and quality new ones.
Ruth is extremely knowledgeable and very welcoming, just go into the shop have a tea and let her explain to you about the different rugs. Best thing her prices re fixed - so no need to haggle!
I have bought a number of carpets from her over the last 25 years! Never bought a carpet anywhere else.

An absolute wealth of knowledge. Ruth is personable, knowledgeable and so welcoming, which makes the whole experience of buying a rug or cushion even more special. The range of Turkish textiles that tribal collections has to offer is truly amazing. I would highly recommend tribal collections!

The best quality and service for Rugs, Kilims, cushions in Cappadocia and arguably Turkey. Ruth has been living in the region for decades and has the knowledge and best quality, vintage, original rugs and knows all their history. She has an eye for detail, is patient (even lets you stay the whole day pulling out everything to look at and makes you feel at home offering delicious Tea). She has the knack to look at a kilim and tell you exact what area it came from and tell you the story behind each piece. Don’t miss this place, avoid the sellers on the Main Street and go straight to the top with Ruth.
She can package and ship to your country once you have chosen your forever piece and offers certificate of authentication. Not to be missed on your Cappadocia itinerary.
She shipped my rugs back to Australia for me and they arrived home safe and boxed before I had gotten off the plane.

Tribal Collections is the most beautiful rug store with an incredible variety of beautiful, quality rugs, both old and new. The owner, Ruth, is so knowledgeable about the origins of the different carpets and kilims, as well as the motifs the weavers have incorporated into their patterns. Ruth’s doesn’t bargain, either. The prices she quotes are very reasonable and fair. I highly recommend Tribal Collections Rugs.

Ruth the owner of Tribal Collection Nomadic is the best! She is so knowledgeable and really knows her stuff! She is so easy to talk to! You could talk for hours! The shop is the most colorful and comfortable! We loved our time there and can’t wait to return! The whole experience was awesome! No stress! Thank you so much!!

I habe bern buying carpets and rugs from Ruth since having lied in Turkey...so more than 25 years!
She is extremely knowledgeable and very forthcoming. No need to hagle with Ruth as her prices are set and very fair!
Definitely pop into her shop, even if it's just for a mooch, she will explain everything to you- and you will leave with a piece that you will treasure forever.

I met Ruth because a friend who lives nearby had purchased the most gorgeous textiles. So I made her take me so I could check it out. This place is bursting with so many little (and big) one of a kind gems. And it doesn’t hurt that Ruth is a hoot and knows EVERYTHING. To date I’m still having her ship things to me in L.A. but go in person if you can and stay for a while. My time with her was priceless.

Thank you so much for such a gorgeous review Josh ! I was only such a hoot because you two bring out the absolute best in people and were such fun to spend time with...and you have incredible taste so that makes finding the right rugs and textiles so much easier.
I would love to catch up with you again and please know you are always so welcome here with me ...and Jim and Judi who still talk about how wonderful you were !

We will be arriving at Izmir airport at 11pm . Can you arrange travel to a hotel, next day sightseeing to Ephesus and pamukkale and drop at Antalya. 1 day in Ephesus and 1 day in pamukkale

we have a huge price range and a comprehensive selection that starts at $100 and goes up past 15,000$.All costs depend on the quality, age , origin and rareity of each individual rug . Please feel free to call in and browse or send me an email if you are looking for something specific online

Prices are based on several variables including the quality of materias (wool, silk, etc), size, age, origin and overall condition.Our Prices start at $80 for something very small and handmade and from there the sky is the limit.I always say to people that if you are working on budget allow between $500- $1000 for a 6ft x 4 ft carpet and that would give you a really good wide range to choose from . Under that there are also carpets but you choice is far more limited .
