Farm tour was great. I’ll be back in a month to harvest the fruits of my toil ;). Minty garden cooking class was fun, Mum chef and dad were brilliant hosts and very entertaining. We had a laugh, made a mess and then sat down to an amazing lunch, mostly thanks to mum chef (the food we made couldn’t compare)!

I forbindelse med et besøg i grønsagsmarkerne, spiste vi frokost på Monty Garde. Maden var god og betjeningen professionelt og godt.

Good place to learning cookingwith chef Hai. He is friendly and funny. We hope comeback Hoi An and learning more in future.

We did a countryside tour which means Danny picked us up and guided us to ride bicycles to the crab boat fishing area and we went fishing, kids loved it. Then off we went through quieter rural roads to the garden. It was a long ride in total, our 7 year old went with an adult anD our 11 year old on her own, just doable, any hotter it would have been hard. We learnt how to do veggie patch garden, super cool and then continued on the learn to cook 2 simple dishes which we ate followed by a grand lunch. Not touristy just delicious food run by a lovely family. We all feel like we gained a lot frOm the experience and recommend to families. Danny really knows how tO engage kids and look after people. Thanks for being part of our Vietnam holiday.

Me and my boyfriend stoppas by for something light (vegetarian). Ordered the villages own drink which was very fresh and “morning glory”. The friendly family taught us about their vegetables and herbs. Once in a lifetime experience.

We paid 400000 dong for a small papaya salad , two pancakes ( banh xeo ) , a small plate of plain vegetables and rice. And a few slices of pineapple.
It could well be that the tourist guide who brought us there got a big commission but we were still hungry because it was our first meal in Hoi An after travelling.
The old couple could not or pretended not to speak English when we tried to show them that even based on their overpriced menu , this was ridiculous and even when we tried to order more.
There are much better places to have a good meal as a bowl of street noodles only costs 20000 dong.
We understand that Hoi An is full of tourist traps but always sad to encounter this on a highly rated trip advisor locale

We did the Tra Que tour 3 years ago with Hoian Mates at the water wheel. Enjoyed it so for this trip last week we went again as we wanted to bring our daughter to experience it.
We did not book a bike tour as I can't cycle well. 3 of us took Grab bikes because we didn't know how long was the walk to the water wheel from the main road as cars cannot enter the farm.
The tour at the water wheel place was full. There are other tour operators at Tra Que. We went to the one opposite the water wheel. It's called Minty Garden. Glad we went there.
Took their "Farming with the farmer" tour. Cost is 100k dong per person. Includes refreshing welcome drink with basil seeds, farmer's clothes and hat, demo by the farmer and hands-on from ploughing and raking soil, making a soil bed, laying seaweed which they use to deter pests instead of using pesticide, planting seedlings, etc. The farmer also taught us how to fill the watering cans, balance them on the shoulders and water the plants in another close area next to our shed. Be advised not to fill the cans with too much water as it is heavy and the pole may put pressure on your neck or shoulder or slip from your shoulder.
We then had a tour of the farm, was shown some herbs which they planted, before returning all the items. After which we booked a Grab car back to town. The road (accessible by car) to the path to Minty Garden is only 50 m away so this farm is doable on your own.

We went on an excellent bike tour in Ha Noi and stopped midway at the Minty Garden for a cooking class and lunch. This was excellent fun and the food was so fresh as it comes straight from the garden. I would rate as the best food on our holiday.

I am sorry for getting back to you so late.
We have some options about bike tour for you to choose. Regarding your request 2-3 hours one, we would like to send you the general program: Guide will pick up you at hotel, ride bike to Cam Thanh fishing village. Stop and explore ancient cemetery, temple, houses built by water palm leaves, explore many beautiful views of Vietnam countrydside. Try to row the basket bow go through the water palm forest....Catch fish, purple crab from the boat ,... Or we can go to the Tra Que vegetable village to experience the farming life,... The price is about 35usd each including lunch, 25usd without lunch.
