２泊３日の桜見物ツアーで訪問しました。北海道にあるカルデラ湖で、ガイドさんは「日本で3番目に大きいカルデラ湖」とおっしゃってました。周囲にはホテルや飲食店やお土産物屋などがあります。洞爺湖サミットがあったことでも有名になりました。

ツアーで訪問しました。周囲43㎞、最大水深179.2ｍの青いカルデラ湖です。美しい女神が住むという伝説があり、まんじゅう島、弁天島などの島々が中央にあります。周囲には散歩コースがあり、ゆったり歩いている方や、マラソンをしている方もいました。

洞爺湖の南岸に位置している洞爺湖温泉街。この温泉街にあるホテルに宿泊しました。最上階にあった私たちの客室からは、正面に中島を持つ洞爺湖がいっぱいに広がっていました。さらに、その奥には、真っ白い雪をいただいた羊蹄山の姿も見えました。
広々とした洞爺湖と白い羊蹄山がとっても素敵でした。

数年ぶりに、洞爺湖温泉に宿泊しました。私たちが宿泊したホテルの客室の窓からは、目の前に洞爺湖が広がり、その向こうに白く輝く雪を頂いた羊蹄山が、感動的な景色でした。
翌朝、ホテルをチェックアウトした後、湖畔を散策しました。湖畔はきれいに整備されていて、あちらこちらに足湯や手湯がありました。青空の下、足湯に浸かりながら目の前の美しい洞爺湖を眺めることができるんです。

洞爺湖町と壮瞥町に跨る日本第三位のカルデラ湖です。
支笏洞爺国立公園・洞爺湖有珠山ジオパーク・日本百景など多くの称号を冠し、北海道観光の人気スポットになっています。
湖のど真ん中に浮く中島が恰好のアクセントになっており、遊覧船で往復してみんなで軽石を持ち帰ったのは小学6年の修学旅行の時の話で、現在は禁止らしい？！
魅力的な湖ですが、支笏湖と同様快晴でもほとんど漣があり、鏡のような湖面が見られるのは瞬時で、透明度もそれほど高くないのが難点(>_<)！
湖畔は車で一周できますが、北西面に当たる3分の1周程は湖から多少離れている上、観光スポット等は乏しいかと思います。

Breathtaking views and a pleasant drive around the lake. Plenty of places to stop along the way. I suggest stopping at Sobetsu-Cho for the waterfall and also visit the Windsor Hotel Resort. Cherry blossoms were in bloom as well.

We decided to stop at Toya during our trip from Sapporo to Hakodate. Toya is around 2 hours from Sapporo. From Toya Station, we took the bus to Lake Toya, you can purchased the return bus ticket inside the train station. We got off at the Lake Toya Tourism Centre, and the lake is just in front of the building, it is very beautiful blue lake, it was snowing so hard when we arrived. excellent photo spot!!!

Beautiful lake surrounded by snowy mountains in winter. A really nice photo spot but do wear wind breakers in winter as it is cold

we went during winter and there was thick coat of snow at the viewing point. Even though the whole place is covered with snow, you can still feel the magnificence of Lake Toya and its peace around it. A good place for photo taking and suitable for families with young kids too.

I think not much place to explore and just scenic view lake with few parks to relax.

Hi, my family and I (5 adults in total) are planning to visit Lake Toya on Dec 6, 2019. We will be arriving at JR toya station around 10am and will be spending the night at Toyako onsen town. During the day, we would like to visit Lake Hill Farm, Shikotsu Toya National Park silo observatory, and Mt. Usuzan Ropeway. Is there any bus that will take us from Toyako onsen town to all these places. Some articles mention that donan bus is available but I could not access the donan bus website. If we take public transportation, will all these itinerary fit in one day? Or should I cut the trip short by not going to the ropeway?
Also, is there any car rental company (with driver) that is based around Lake Toya. Will this be a better option compare to donan bus?

To meet your full itinerary with bus is not possible. Bus schedule is not frequent for all the places. Best option is to drive but if you are requesting for a driver to drive you around that’s not easy to find. Rent a car and self drive is the best.

Planning to visit Lake Toya in early March 2020. Just wondering how is the weather in the area around that time in the past. Is there still snow?

Went there March last year. No snow fall during my 6 days there but my tour guide said there is snow fall the day before i arrived.
But make no mistake, the snow still very thick & the snow activities still operate during March. March is the best time to go there during winter in my opinion provided you are not looking for snow fall.

Hi, I'm interested to go for the night cruise, since it's a family trip with kids, it will be perfect if i can buy the tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Hi, read much good review abt Lake Toya. Like to visit mid Jul. Would like to do a day trip from Sapporo and hopefully can catch the fireworks before getting back. Can someone advise how to get there via public transport? Will there be any issue to get transport back after fire works?
