Not many crowed n few food stall was not open for business.we were at shellout restaurant.food was OK n expensive.not much entertainment for kids.not worth for second visit.

Please don’t go and be shocked to find out that the whole Bazaar & Cafes have already been closed down, and there’s only a discount store. It’ve completely closed down.

When my friend told me to go to Kilang Bateri if I was ever in JB, I thought they were mad. Why should I go visit a battery factory at night? Well, we still took that 15 minute drive from JB city to its outskirts, and we were glad we did. Like its name, it was once a battery factory, but now transformed into a cool hipster hang-out. Parking was ample inside the compound because we went on a weeknight, but the shop keepers told us that it gets packed on weekends. When we entered the main building, we found lots and lots of small shops selling trinkets, souvenirs, shoes and handphone accessories. But some clothes shops sold pretty cool stuff like ladies fashion, but my favourite as one selling cool short sleeved Batik shirts. There's even a hipster barber in there. As for food, there was quite a number of kiosks selling different types of food, but we opted for a cafe which was located along an inner road. Maybe a long time ago it was the Security or HR Office of the factory, but now transformed into a tastefully done cafe serving good coffee and they played some light jazz too. We went to Kilang Bateri again the following night to get another Batik shirt which I can't get enough off. So, you got to visit this place on a weekend to check out the good, and the beautiful people of JB.

The place was made over from battery factory. This place is good to take picture. Inside got barbershop, foods, clothes, handphone stuff and etc.

Went on a weekday evening, and was thoroughly disappointed. There were barely any shops open, and the ones that were had at most one or two groups of customers each. Had great difficulty finding a shop that didn’t have stale food rotting in containers, and the ones that sold food had food that tasted average at best. Parking was RM10, and there was an abundance given how empty it was.
The place is way too far, way too overpriced, and way too empty. Would not recommend. If you are keen to experience a failed business venture, this would be the best place to go.

Used to be Eveready factory but the factory operations moved elsewhere, perhaps abroad and this piece of prime real estate needs repurposing.
Enter Kilang Bateri which combines retail shopping and F&B experience. To be honest there isn't much difference between the retail stores here and the nearby Angsana Mall. The F&B stalls do not offer much variety but the hipster cafe could be the one pulling the youngster crowd who would then gave rave reviews about this place.
It has huge parking at the back but most people prefer to park by the main road as it is quite a distance to walk to and fro the parking.
For me a single visit is enough and not planning to go out of my way to visit in the future.

Hello! This place is a hippie place if you want to take insta worthy photos. They sell innovative drinks and have have very clean environment to dine in :)
If you walk further in you’ll see a go-kart arena. However if you do wish to dine indoors you may be affected by the smell from the vehicle exhaust. Not so suitable for people with respiratory issues.
Food choices are pretty wide too. In my opinion it’s more suitable for young people traveling with friends!

Quite a distance from the main city centre. Hipster decoration. Themetic food outlets. Local entrepreneurs and products. Kids palace. Ample parking.

This place was supposedly an old ever ready battery factory, which is now being used for restaurants and shopping places. We went there reading about how hyped this place is, so had great expectations. Inside a huge hall there are numerous small shops selling clothes, accessories, books and a lot more, along with a food court serving local food and few dessert outlets. However we found the outdoor restaurants and cafes better. They look really nice, all decorated and lighted up. We also noticed a small go kart circuit but not sure if it is still running seeing the condition. The place is good looking from the outside but not so much to offer when you go in. You may visit with a group of friends for a buffet seafood dinner but its not a place you would be regular at. Also it seemed a bit deserted with not many people hanging out. Can we because we visited on a weekday. Better to go late evening and maybe not with many expectations.Nice place but inside could have been better utilised.

Many shop already close. Nothing special about this Kilang Bateri. Food also just so so...

Hi. Is it easy to get a taxi from Kilang Bateri or is there wifi in Kilang Bateri so that we can book a grab?

I went there 4 months ago! There was no wifi but you could get any of the restaurant staff (friendlier ones) there to help you book a grab/uber :) that's what I did!

Xda Aircond and quite hot especially at the food court area.
