The entrace fee is so cheap only rm2 for adult and free for below 2 years old.
The size of the zoo is rather small compared to other zoo but worth the price. Can easily spend 1 hour here.
Shady trees, no need to bring umbrella.
All cages also filled with animals though the quantitt in each mighg be 1 or 2 only for each type of animal.
Lots of lions, birds and tortoises. No giraffe.
My 1 year old kid likes it here

You can't go wrong with its price point. The entry fee is only RM2. It is a very affordable price point for everyone and anyone. A great place to visit with your family on a weekend or even on a holiday break. Finding a parking spot is quite hard since quite a number of family visit it during the weekend. For its cheap price, you can see a variety of animal. Definitely a bargain and a good place to escape the city view.

This zoo is already more then 20 years old but has been well maintained. Don’t expect much attractions and side shows. However worth a visit at least once if you are at Johor Bahru. Parking spaces are limited though.

This is an old fashioned lovely easy going zoo.
Open places for the animals (no small cages), snacks and drinks available, cheap entrance price, typical old zoo, good atmosphere.
Only need to take taxi as walking from the city to this place is a looong trip, especially when it's hot.

Not a spectacle, but who cares for that money. Nice to spend an afternoon there. I’ve been told that the zoo was build in the 40’s, which shows. I don’t think they changed a lot since then. But anyway, worth the money. 😉

Small zoo with a small number of animals and birds. Not great but not that bad. It was a little smelly. It was super cheap to get in 2RM but not a lot there to see. There were more snacks than there were animals

We went there to take some pictures all I can say is that it is good for the kids. The animals are cared for although it is not well maintained but the place is really educational and the animal information is there with different translations.

is the zoo wheelchair friendly?

Per otger suggest not all exhibit are wheelchair accessible . But with the fair price ticket and variety of animal exhibition it still a worth to go place to spend 2-3 hours. Suggest go early of the morning to avoid crowd and most important skip for the hot weather!

Hi yes u can, suggest if u travel by coach from sg to johor bahru just drop off at johor bahru custom and grab a cab and they should able to bring u there, the cab fees shouldn't more than Rm20 I reckon.

Many parking at roadside and not many car park outside but is safe to park outside cos opposite is Majlis Agama Goverment office cos this zoo not much customer.

The zoo was a disgrace n in bad condition. if u really cant take a good care on animals, y u r still doing doing this kind of cheap business. Animals do have life, freedom, feelings like us, it not a money making machine.
lion, camel, tapir n some other animals are look really weak and thin. please do understand their feelings too.
to all viewers, please do report and safe poor animals.
Why don't u take care of the lions??? You treat them like crap they don't deserve that. Your whole zoo should be shut down
