This place is actually located inside Komtar building, if I'm not mistaken, being a tourist :) and very near to 1st Avenue Mall My grandkids visited this amazing place just two weeks ago. They had such a great fun time. They particularly enjoyed the G-drop and wall climbing, which were both exciting and exhilarating. It was a challenge to their courage as well. Apart from these two, there were other interesting activities. It's definitely worth a visit!

if you have been to the singapore science museum then tech dome is absolutely no where near its level.
that being said, reviewing it on itself its still a pretty average experience. some of the machine is faulty and some simply out of order and some doesn't work as good anymore, with missing part that nobody seems to care to replace.
we get in at 10.15 which is right after it was open and for about 1 hour there was nobody else in there. there are still plenty of stuff for the little one to try and play with, my 5 year old daughter get bored pretty quickly with the device and she is actually quite keen on science. so move away to another device pretty quickly as most of the device are not interactive enough. the one that are, such as the digital device where you can move something shown on the screen with your shadow were not working properly.
there are some ride with additional pay but they are all for person above 140cm, mine was disappointed because she can't play any of those
there aren't any restaurant in there so plan your visit time accordingly.
that being said we still spend 3 hours in there with the place mostly empty. But i wouldn't visit it for a second time and my daughter will soon grow over it as well.
interesting note: the guy at the ticket box seems keen to help me save on ticket as when he ask me how old my daughter was i said "5" and he said "children under 5 enter for free". i was kinda confuse as my daughter was 5 so she is not under 5 so she is not eligible for free entry. so i reply again "she is 5" and the guy repeat again "children under 5 enter for free" and then he continue "so 1 adult ticket....."

The best place for teenagers and students. It was an amazing place to visit. It gave lot of information about the new technology and various scientific facts. I have visited it. This science museum will increase your curiosity to the next level. Their technology are amazing. It have information such as the life tech, robotics and information technology.

Located at the capital of Penang, Tech Dome is a hidden gem for penangites and tourists to explore besides other extravagant places around the wondrous city of George Town. It is near by The TOP Penang Theme Park at the building of Komtar. The location is so easy to access by public transportation too! So if you want to explore more during your staycation at the 'Pearl of the Orient', don't forget to visit Tech Dome Penang. 🔭🎨✨

I'm over the moon when I had my first moment there. As a must-OOTD person, I enjoyed taking photos in every spot here, and not to mention, this place is very suitable for all regardless of age. The staff around the exhibit are generally very friendly and multilingual. This is a 'MUST' place to be visited if you happen to be in Penang. Out of all, Tech Dome Penang is really an interesting educational exhibit.

We've been several times, this is a lot of fun for children and accomodates a wide variety of ages. The additional precautions due to the pandemic are a bit of a pain but completely neccesary. The staff on hand around the exhibit are generally very good and multilingual.
It's not on the same level as Petrosciens in KL but for a Penang attraction this is really rather good.

Tech dome is an interesting place that very suitable for everyone. It has more than 120 activities that we can experienced. It provide educational and general knowledge while having fun. This is the place that you have to visit when in Penang

Tech Dome Penang is a good educational place for people to visit. It has more than 150 interactive exhibits to interact with. The exhibits are fun and it also provides education to us. It is a "MUST" place to visit when you come to Penang.

Is it wheel-chair friendly?
Yes, we are. Please enter via our entrance adjoining to The Top. We have a wheelchair friendly toilet as well as elevators to bring visitors up to the Mezzanine floor.

is the techdome suitable for a three years old?
Hi Farhana,
We do have the Exploration Zone and the Creative Corner (both near our cafetaria, The Hungry Atom) for kids below 5 years old. We have seen 3 year olds explore our main exhibition hall too with the assistance of adults.
We are sure your kid will have loads of fun at Tech Dome Penang as we cater to all ages, from preschoolers to senior citizens. On top of that, children under 5 years old enter FREE!

How much is the entry fee ? Any extra fee charge after enter ? Tq
