The place is so beautiful. We really wanted to see the sea of clouds and also experience the sunrise so we started our hike at around 3am and we reach the peak at around 5am. Its cool climate, breathtaking views, and well-maintained trails make it a standout destination in the Philippines.

Great view of sunrise and sea of clouds. 😍 the total experience was memorable: from the trek, overnight camp, morning hike towards the peak.

This was seriously the worst experience of my whole life! We started the hike in the night with the idea of seeing the “sunrise” on the top. However, the only thing i captured was the sky turning from darkness into dark gray rainy clouds. The weather made it impossible to see anything on the top as it was raining continuously for hours. Besides that, the tracks were complete mud. A lot of people slipped and you had to walk through the mud until your knees for hours. The very strong winds didn’t help as well… Would not recommend it to anyone. Hope other people have more luck with the weather but at this stage it was completely unbearable. Definitely do not recommend this in any form

The ride from Manila Airport to our homestay was about 10 hours, with an hour for brunch n late lunch break in between.
Roads were good conditions n outskirt more narrow but not bumpy.
Our homestay is less than 10 minutes drive to Ranger's office.
Mt Pulag is a beautiful place to hike. It may not have steep slopes but still challenging enough due to open space exposure to cold wind and hot sun.
Luckily, it didn't rain during my trip. Saw a few locals using umbrella which was a good idea.
The well maintained made-man rocky pathway was hard for my knees.
Since it is a sacred ground for the locals, we were advised to do our toilet visit at the last toilet near Ranger's office before we start out hike.
You can rent hiking stick for 50 Pesos, sleeping bag, and headlight too at the few shops near Ranger's office.
I rented 2 hiking poles the
day before my hike and returned
them on the way after the hike. Do
have local currency handy as most are small shops doubt credit card is accepted.
Along the trails, we passed by 2 huts where you can rest. One is near the camping site with basic toilet facility.
After the hike as I exit the trail, there were a few
motorbikes offering ride to Ranger's
office or homestay. I gladly paid 200 pesos for a ride to my
homestay.
My group started hike at 2am, waited for sunrise at Grassland before going to Summit. I finished hike at 11 am.

This is a playground of the god, the experience is not at the peak of it but your journey in the uphill mountain. This is the place where i will visit again soon.

Mt. Pulag hike is on every mountaineer’s bucket list and it’s not hard to see why. From the majestic view of sea of clouds and rolling hills to uphill trails and scenic sunrise, Mt. Pulag surely knows how to make someone fall head over heels for her. Pulag is Luzon’s highest peak at 2,926 meters above sea level and is popular among hikers and trekkers because of its picturesque trails and a stunning view of Mt. Pulag sea of clouds.
Did you know? The indigenous people there treat Mt. Pulag as sacred because it’s close to heaven and they believe that they can speak to God.
It gives as the moment to bear witness of the sunrise for success and sunset upon leaving the memories behind. The worth of hiking will give you opportunity to capture every angle that emphasizes the background and by beautifying you as a subject. There is no regret after all, where you may cherish those short stay of experiencing such above the clouds yet closer to heaven. Thus, the happier you do, the longer the Mt. Pulag will mark your footprints and welcome you to become a family in the next visit.

Do I need a medical certification? Is it mandatory to have a guide? Anything else to make it more complicated?
كُتب بتاريخ 24 ديسمبر 2022
Yes of course! At the medical center. Can get it. Or searching near hospital on your site! Thanks!

Anybody here who can help me how i can get to Mt Pulag? Possibly connect me to an agency or freelancer. Thank you!

When we went to Pulag, we just rode a jeepney located beside the downtown market. The jeepney station is easy to locate, just ask from any locals.

Hello,
Yong medical certificate mayron band specific form na gagamitin? Kung mayron saan makaka kuha?
Thank you!
كُتب بتاريخ 3 ديسمبر 2019
Hi. May hospital nmn na pwdng daanan before you get to the DENR office. Nakalimutan ko yung name. Most of the group tours, dun nila dinadala yung guests nila if wala pang med cert. But if u want to have it ahead of time, any format lang nmn basta sinabi mo lang sa doctor na aakyat ka ng Pulag. Si doc na bahala for the rest. :) Good luck sa akyat! 😊

Is there a certain place where I can get my medical certificate? Can I see any doctor in Baguio City? I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
كُتب بتاريخ 19 أبريل 2019
You can get your medical clearance from any licensed physician.
كُتب بتاريخ 20 أبريل 2019
I'm from overseas and looking for a doctor in Manila who can issue medical clerance for Mt.Pulag hiking. Do you have any recommend?
كُتب بتاريخ 8 أبريل 2019
Thank you for your comment, stella m.
The hike organizer did not recommend getting a Medical Certificate at the nearest clinic in DENR due to the long queue of people and it would consume a lot of time that might affect their itinerary.

Reachable ba ang mt. pulag by motorcycle? And may parking area kaya near it na pwede iwanan? Planning to do a solo hike on 4/30/2019. Any idea kung may pwede pag stayan sa lugar and how much? salamat ng madami.

yes but only at the base of the mountain at Kabayan, Benguet. there are police outposts and N.G.O./SPECIAL GROUP in the town area where you may be able to leave your bike but still at your own risk.
from there go on foot on an uphill climb.
check out google map key in from Baguio city to mount pulag on the destination option of google map and then browse street view image option is clicked at the bottom corner of the page. further check out this articles on : Hiking Mt. Pulag (via Ambangeg Trail) Without a Tour Guide – A 3D2N Itinerary. copy this title and search on the internet. it provides some of the details you need.
