‪A must see in Bacolod if you have kids‬

‪Fantastic conservation center operated by some passionate zoologists and volunteers. We had a volunteer tour guide that gave us so much information about all the animals in the center. Get to hangout and pat the zoo ambassadors (eagles, lizards, snakes etc.). Kids (and adults) were fully engaged the whole time. Highly recommended!‬

‪Rare Local Birds and Animals Here!‬

‪This attraction is located very near the Capitol Buildings, Lake and Lagoon and the Negros Museum.

On display here are rare and soon to be extinct birds, snakes, pigs, etc. There are adequate signages for these exhibits.

Entrance fee is 50 pesos for students and seniors, regular fee is 100 pesos.

‪Sad to see the beautiful birds in cages when they should be out in the wild. Pls go visit and support the foundation for they spread environmental awareness and save/rescue the birds from poachers, etc‬

‪Expensive‬

‪It's not bad. But it is really expensive. 100 pesos per person to get in. LOADS of bugs. Put on cream or spray before you go in. Every time we went it was empty. Which is nice. Hard to get away from people in the Philippines. But one time, some creepy guy insisted on following my family around and harassing us. It also is named like a government organization, but then has signs that says it is privately owned, and just sells it's "products" abroad.‬

‪Important, should be Improved‬

‪I think everyone recognises the importance of these special places in educating filipinos and others about the biodiversity of the Philippines and Negros in particular. The exhibits are well done, but the space is small relative to what they have to exhibit. The entry fee of p100 feels more like a donation than an actual fee given the size of this venue. Actually, I think other similar eco-oriented nature preserves in the Philippines could learn from the way they keep their birds - it was very natural. Also, unless you happen to read about this place, it's well camouflaged from the street given it's jungle-like nature. Worth a trip... Keep in mind, its a densely vegetated area with standing water, so... if mosquitoes love you, they might find you here.‬

‪Sehr sehenswertes, interessantes und schönes Gebiet, falls man für Natur etwas überhat. Nichts Sensationelles oder Entertainment, aber man sollte es besucht haben. Artenschutz ist wichtig und nicht spektakulär.‬

‪A worthwhile cause‬

‪If you're somebody who likes animals, visit this place. Here, you'll find the Visayan Spotted deer, the local wild cat called Maral, and among others. They restore endemic species of Negros Occidental. Your entrance fee/ donation will surely go a long way in this worthy cause.‬

‪Located opposite capitol lagoon park, this place is a center for public awareness about Negros endangered species. From the street, the singn is not too attractive and the surroundings look like forest in the city but endangered animals are kept in crampy , dirty cages and the pathway is not well maintained and many insects and mosquitoes bit me along the way. It's too dirty with rubbish thrown in from the street. It's good place but need government support. ‬

‪Fuer Natur- und Umweltinteressierte ist diese kleine Einrichtung sehr interessant. Die Anlage wirkt etwas unscheinbar, dahinter steckt aber die so wichtige Arbeit sehr engagierter Menschen zum Schutz bedrohter Arten auf den Philippinen. Dort kann man verschiedene auf den Philippinen gefaehrderte Tierarten sehen. Sie ist gleichermassen fuer Fachleute und z.B. Familien mit Kindern geeignet. Durch den Kauf von Futter, das man den Tieren dann selber geben darf, unterstuetzt man dasd Projekt zusaetzlich. Ein ausgezeichneter Ort zur Umwelterziehung, der leider bald einer weiteren Shoppingmall weichen muss-das Land gehoert nicht der Foundation. Sie soll ausserhalb der Stadt ein Gelaende erhalten-dort werden aber weniger Besucher sein.‬
