De plus petite dimension que les autres monastères classés par l" UNESCO mais qui mérite vraiment une visite .Ici c'est le rouge brique qui domine pour les peintures des murs extérieurs .A noter une haute tour juste à côté , vestige des anciens murs du monastères .

Some elaborate paintings inside and out. The detail of the art is worth the visit. No photo's permitted inside. If you are a shopper, there are many stalls on the way towards the entry. 10 Lei entry fee (May 2023) and parking was 5 Lei.

Very nice, old monastery, close to Gura Humorului (about 10 minutes drive). There is a fee you must pay for visiting the monastery, 10 lei (2 euro) for adults, 5 lei (1 euro) for children. You can also climb to the top of the tower, there's a nice view of the surrounding area from up there.

This monastery is a little more remote than some other monasteries but is only a 4km drive north of Gura Humorului. There is free parking in the square and it is only a short walk from here. The site is more compact than some others and very well tended. Our personal view is that the paintings were not quite as refined as some other monasteries but nevertheless, it is worth visiting and most of the paintings remain in very good condition.

A stunningly beautiful place, calm and quiet. Always worth a visit and don't pass the souvenir stalls. Less pushy and kitchy than some other places.

Vi si giunge da Gura Humorului un bel villaggio turistico e come tutti gli altri monasteri lascia senza fiato. A differenza degli altri, all'interno del bastione, il Monastero di Humor e' affiancato da una torre campanaria.

La iglesia de este monasterio es realmente espectacular.
Reconocidos Patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO esta serie de monasterior, se lo han ganado a pulso.
Sorprenden los frescos de su exterior por su conservación de más de 500 años y lo que ahi se ve.
El interior de la iglesia es abrumador. Un trabajo bellísimo en cada centimetro de la iglesia.

El interior de la iglesia es abrumador. Un trabajo bellísimo en cada centimetro de la iglesia.

Monastero costruito nel 1530 con i dipinti caratterizzati dal colore rosso. Dotato di portico esterno. All'esterno è presente una antica torre da cui si può ammirare il monastero dall'alto.

Once more another of the 8 monasteries of Bucovina - that are on the UNESCO world heritage list ... This one is situated near Gura Humorului , just a few km outside of the city, once again not built by king Stephen the great, this monastery was built by the royal chancellor of king Petru Rares - Teodor Bubuiog ...
The main color of this monastery is red - and shades of dark red (Vornoret is blue, Sucevita is green, ... this is red.)
Same thing like with the other monasteries - the paintings on the outside - the world famous paintings are slowly but surely fading - one of the walls is still looking spectacular.
Entrance fee is very pocket friendly, but pay attention -no pictures allowed inside the church.
The tower in the courtyard is also worth a few minutes of attention - to climb to the top platform will be an adventure on itself.
Overall an interesting experience - when you are in Bucovina check it out.

L’église de ce monastère, classée au patrimoine mondial de l’humanité, est presque aussi belle que celle de Voronet et construit sur un plann similaire, mais un peu moins bien conservée. C’est néanmoins une visite incontournable lorsque l’on va voir ce que l’on appelle l’archipel monastique de Bucovine.
