Betty was a fantastic tour guide! From the moment we were greeted by Betty, we were greeted by her warm friendly smile, wonderful humour, and caring nature. This care continued every step of our adventure. Betty took great honour and pride in sharing her hometown and culture with us. She was highly knowledgeable and spoke about Xi'an with such enthusiasm. She went above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible experience. Our driver was also exceptional; sharing his sense of humour and friendly demour with us. I will never forget the wonderful sites we saw, experiences we had, and times we shared. Not only can I call Betty our Xi'an tour guide, but our friend. I would highly recommend China Odyssey Tours and they should be proud of the exceptional service delivered by Betty and our driver.

We had a great time on our trip to Xi’an, China, in November 2019! This was because of the quality of service from both our trip planner and guide. Odynovo/China Odyssey Tours provides a thoughtful, conscientious service at a reasonable price. We would definitely use them again on a future trip! Jing est une guide compétente qui sait être à l'écoute des touristes et s'investit totalement comme si nous étions des amis.
Elle a su nous faire aimer sa ville .Elle a même pris le temps d'une visite nocturne la , au cours de laquelle elle nous a entraînés à danser sous le regard étonné et amusé des passants . Elle a tout fait pour favoriser un contact avec les habitants.
Elle a une bonne connaissance historique concernant l'armée de terre cuite. Avec enthousiasme et humour nous a fait découvrir la calligraphie.
Lors d'un petit incident à la douane de la gare TGV, elle a tout essayé pour nous être agréable et ne s'est pas dérobée.Elle a été notre meilleure guide.

My annual holiday usually focuses on the months of November/December. Having travelled much of the world I have learnt to do a preliminary itinerary early in the year usually based on others experiences and research on the internet but hand it over to experts when the plan gets clearer. This year I chose China for my annual vacation and true to form, I contacted Odynovotours and their experienced travel consultant, Mike Goa, to set the wheels in motion. After the initial exchange of emails, Beijing, Xi'an and Shanghai were short listed. The most popular sights highlighted, a selection of hotels recommended according to my budget, transport, airport transfers, meals and personal advice were generated and a final decision was taken. On what proved to be a superb vacation, Xi'an stood out for a few different reasons. Met by my tour guide, the fluent english speaking Jessie brought me on a wonderful experience. Starting with the opportunity to see the legendry Terracotta Warriors, this was an experience to behold. Jessie gave 2 full hours of their background and seemed to stroll through the morning which made it so enjoyable. Back to the city to visit The Wild Goose Pagoda, she was still at ease describing the background. She took me for a long walk in the same area to view many monuments and statues still giving an in depth background. The next morning commenced with a visit to the Ancient City Wall but both of us feeling energetic and revisiting our youth, hired bicycles and went about cycling the 13km wall with it's 14m wide cobble stone surface. What an experience!!! Poor Jessie felt the pressure and demanded a pit stop. This was followed by a visit to a Chinese family on the 15th floor of an apartment complex where I was introduced to the husband and wife and became the touring chef when shown and then made to prepare dumplings and noodles which we cooked and ate. Thanks to Odynovo, I had a great experience before moving on

I booked a two week tour of China with Odynovo for my wife and I. Our guide in Xian for 3 days was Louise. Louise is an excellent guide and spoke excellent English. Her ability to impart her knowledge of the area was fantastic. She was able to make us feel relaxed and assisted with all our needs including bottled water in the van, and liaison with the hotel for any queries. We were able to adjust our previously arranged tour to better suit our needs and time requirements. Louise's placid nature worked very well with local tour operators and she often was able to arrange for us to go to the front of the line at entry gates to attractions. She appeared to be very well respected by the local tour operators. 5 star service with a 5 star experience. Thank You to Louise.

Odynovo were great and Cathy must be one of their greatest assets. As part of a 3 week visit to China we spent a few days in Xi'an with Cathy as our guide. It was like being shown around their home town by an old, knowledgeable friend.
Nothing was a problem, no question was too stupid and our chats were informative and enjoyable. Even our 'first world problems' were happily solved (try buying whisky in Xi'an without Cathy to help you).
A great few days and we were genuinely sad when we had to leave.
Oh yeah, the warriors were beaut.

I booked rather last minute a tour to Xi’An for myself and three business colleagues. Odynovo Tours were very accommodating and set it up quickly. Thank you Karen Yang! They handled everything including plane tickets and hotel reservation. The hotel was very nice! Our tour guide Johnny and driver Tony took excellent care of us! Johnny was extremely knowledgeable and energetic! He made the two days very special and we appreciated the whole experience! My brother and sister in law used this company for a 3 weeks tour in China a few months ago l. They had an equally excellent experience and we highly recommend them.

We did a three week visit to China, planned entirely by Odynovo. They came highly recommended by a close friend who used them almost 10 years ago when they were known as Odyssey. I worked very closely with Reinself Wei who gave me excellent ideas and was always unbelievably responsive. We had six different guards on this trip and they were all very good but our guide in a Xi’an, Stanley, was outstanding with excellent easy to understand English and a lot of fun. One of our planned days was a excursion to My Huashan , which we had to scrub that morning due to very bad weather. He came up with a terrific alternative on the fly, a visit to ancient Yuan Village (clearly off the western tourist track) instead and Emperor Jingdi Mausoleum. It turned out to be one of our best days.

Nice tour of city wall and Xian warriors. Relaxing lunch would recommend renting bikes and tour more of the wall

We spent 2 days in Xi'an on our recent visit to China organised by Vincent Ruan from Odynovo. We were very impressed by the city and also our guide Justin Dai. The Terracotta Soldiers are of course a must see, but Xi'an has so much to offer visitors, including The Great Tang Mall with a spectacular light show at night, Muslim Street with its huge variety of food stalls, the list goes on. Justin's knowledge of his city is outstanding and his consideration and care during our stay was really appreciated.

Could you please tell me how much the tour cost, how long it was for and some details about, time tour started.

Thanks for your inquiry, but there are some options for one day tour in Xian it is better to send us inquiry via our website, then we can send you the details. Usually, we start the tour around 8:30a.m, and finish around 4:30-5:00p.m, service of local guide and van is for a maximum of 8 hours during the full day individual tour packages.
Tour price depends on the group number and travel time, please kindly send an enquiry on our website, then we can send you the details by emails! Thank you!

Hi Graceamyn,
Normally the visit at the Terracotta takes about 2 to 3 hours. However, if you are very interested in it, you can stay longer there when you take the private tour with us.
What's more, it will take about 1.5 hours to be driven from a downtown hotel to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses for one way.
Regarding to the price, itl depends on the group number. Please send an enquiry on our website, then we can send you the details by emails! Thank you!

Although some of the westerners take group tours or visit the places without a local guide, we would like to suggest the clients to take a private tour with English speaking guide. In this way, they can better enjoy the tour as well as get more information about the local culture, the history and the local life.

Hi - There will be 3 of us going to Xi'an for 2 days in May. We have been looking at China Odyssey tours, as well as a bus tour. It looks like you really like the China Odyssey people, do you think that is the best way to go? Did that include lunch?

Dear Michele,
Although there are some people join group tours and there are some people visit all the places by themselves without any guide, we highly recommend the clients to take private tours while traveling in China. In this way, they needn’t worry about anything. But they can definitely better enjoy the tour.
Regarding to the meals, we normally arrange a la carte lunches for the clients for tour convenience. Of course, if clients do not want any meals to be included, it is also ok.

hi, me and my three friends will go visiting Xi'an in 2015 may31 to june6. Can you recommend some attraction for us? Mount Hua and Emperor Qinshihuang Terracotta army Mausoleum Site Museum are the most-go places for us.
