‪Grossly Inadequate Conditions for the Animals‬

‪While some animal enclosures appeared adequate, some, notably the sea turtle's, were grossly inadequate - the worst zoo enclosure I've ever seen. Along with some other visitors dating to 2009 on various internet sites, I found these animal conditions overtly reprehensible and contacted the World Association of Zoos & Aquariums to report this. Unfortunately, as the Hangzhou Zoo is not a WAZA member, their animal welfare team was limited in their ability to enact change.

So best I can recommend is not to support the Hangzhou Zoo with your $$ and to recommend to others that they do the same (NOT visit).‬

‪20元门票我觉得很值啊，虽然有些地方不能去，但大部分还是可以看到的，种类少了点，但20元在杭州你还想要啥服务。不过我还是喜欢我大学沈阳棋盘山动物园那可是真大真好玩啊‬

‪Les animaux sont dans de mauvaises conditions, les parcs sont vides sans animaux ( pas de lions, ni de zèbres ni de panthères ... ).
On dirait que les animaux sont morts, les girafes sont seulement 2, enfermés dans 10m2, l'éléphant est seul et attaché à une chaine, les pandas sont 2 enfermés dans une cage.
Très décevant et horrible conditions pour ces animaux.‬

‪Clean zoo but Uncivilized visitors‬

‪Most visitors are families with kids. I took bus 31 to reach there, international visitors can use Baidu map when navigating in Hangzhou, it's more detailed than google map. Admission ticket is 20yuan. The zoo and enclosures are relatively clean but I see a lot of uncivilized local visitors who feed strange things to the animals in order to get the feeding experience or a good photo. No staff was around to stop them. I'm unsure how the management is handling because surely such nonsense feeding will result in sick animals. They did place signs on the enclosures to discourage such behaviour but I conclude this strategy doesn't work well. Hopefully the management can find better ways to prevent that.

This zoo links to Hupao Spring so you can walk according to directions. You can buy ticket to hupao spring along the zoo's exit towards hupao spring.‬

‪Some good, some bad‬

‪We went along with limited expectations and we were pleasantly surprised in parts about some of the nicer enclosures, however some were small and did not seem enjoyable for the animals. We found a Chinese acrobatic show which our children enjoyed. The new Chimpanzee enclosure was also very well put together. The vote of a panda is very close and the enclosure was okay. A good collection of reptiles. The enclosures for some of the turtles and big cats were not appropriate in our view.‬

‪パンダが見られる動物園‬

‪濱江からバスで約30分、湖濱あたりからでもバスで30～40分ほどでしょうか。山がちの地形にいろいろな動物がいますが、パンダ以外はまあふつうかな、という感じです。買いたくなるようなお土産品はあまりありませんが、パンダとの距離はめっちゃ近いです。人も結構多いですが、それでもかなりじっくり見ることができますよ。‬

‪Хм... зоопарк небольшой, грязный, животные содержаться не в лучших условия. Мы попали в какой то ад, было очень много китайцев, шумно, не пройти к вольерам. Они везде ели, Но самый огромный минус, что там везде ступеньки, коляску с ребёнком приходилось таскать на руках, опасные спуски и обрывы!!!животные далеко друг от друга, ребёнок быстротечно интерес, хоть и обещаешь ему, что вот вот, там там, за углом. Улёт тигр... больше туда ни ногой! ещё и пробки были ужасные, 8 км от гостиницы мы ехали больше часа🤥‬

‪Very disappointed‬

‪Poor management in all aspects. The animals are completely abused by the visitors who demonstrated that their new found opulence rarely is supported by civilized behavior and educated manners. People were spitting, throwing stones, swearing at the animals. Parents placing their children on the edge of the fences. The zoo personnel, though around, were ignoring and even smiling at such people. The zoo maintenance and cleanliness was bad with rubbish and litter everywhere. Even the WC were completely dirty, smelly and very badly kept. Hangzhou is one of the most important and beautiful cities of China and it must be given a zoo of global standards because it is a matter of image.‬
