We loved Hiyoshido. The therapists were so professional and the experience very traditional. We were given traditional pajamas to wear which were so comfy and modest for people not keen to bear all. We both felt great afterwards. We were lucky to get in as we didn’t book so I’d recommend reserving an appointment.

Made our way to this place after reading reviews and ratings. Our experience was very poor.
Since their website said that no online or telephone bookings, we decided to visit.
The location is on a side street to the main shopping area (Ginza ). The cabbie took us to the address on the net and told us that the place is closed. Since the maps were showing another 50 m to the location, we decided to walk down the gully on the side and found the place. This parlour is located among residential and boutique restaurants.
We walked in to find a middle aged lady on the front desk. The first thing she did was to point out to our foot wear and ask us to remove it. We were barely 1 m into the place, and there were no signs to indicate that shoes must be removed as soon as you enter the door frame.
I greeted her. Told her that Trip Advisor reviews mentioned them accommodating walk-ins. She looked at us with a stern face and said, “We are fully booked - sorry”. That’s it. She simply waited for us to leave. We thanked her and left.
We realised that she did not make any effort to offer alternate dates or engage in small talk that people do when turning customers away. Her body language was negative and she simply did not want us. The fact that they do not facilitate online or telephone bookings gave us the impression that they are possibly screening people and subjectively accepting clients. We are non-Caucasian race and I wonder whether this could be the reason. I am in business, my wife a surgeon and my daughter a medical student. We were not impressed by the way this woman treated us.
Australian massage parlours charge lot more than what this parlour does. It is relatively inexpensive and we may have made a mistake of even going to this place.

Don’t bother trying to make a reservation unless you are a local from Kyoto. Tried walking in to make a reservation and was ignored by the receptionist and then told to try coming back in person again in 2 days just to see if I can make a reservation with no guarantee… it seems they were too busy with locals to be bothered by foreign tourists at this time. I’m sure the treatment is great for those lucky enough to experience it but seems very exclusive.
I worked in luxury hospitality for 5 years and was pretty surprised at how bad their customer service was for a reputable spa, I felt very unwelcome.

The massage was fabulous, tailored perfectly to what my tired body needed.

Abbiamo scoperto per caso questo centro di distribuzione di piacere sensoriale. Io e mia moglie ci siamo imbattuti in un vero massaggio eseguito da sapienti mani(uomo per me donna per mia moglie). Il tutto durata di 90 min. Ne è valsa la pena. Abbiamo prenotato in prima serata per l’ultimo turno e vi posso assicurare che dopo una intera giornata in giro...abbiamo concluso L giornata in maniera straordinaria. Cortesia, pulizia e professionalità. Straconsigliato

Great atmosphere and attention. Super calm and cozy. Traditional house and ver polite staff. They even gave me some nice stickers at the end.

Just what I needed after all the fatigue from walking/hiking. My therapist understood my issues and where I needed relief. I actually took the chance for a walk-in but they were fully booked. Since I was going to be in the area the following day, I made the reservation right then and there. It was worth coming back for.

Je pratique le shiatsu depuis quelques temps déjà et là c'est le style Kansai shiatsu, j'ai pris les 1h30 et tout au long du Shiatsu, la praticienne est dedans. On est bien dans le pays qui l'a inventé.
Allez y les yeux fermés.

I don't think they do email. had to call. they will bring someone who speaks English when they realize that's what you are speaking.
