‪Dive into the past of Gion, Keikos, and Maikos‬

‪As this was my first time in Kyoto and in being in Japan, it was fascinating to learn about the history of Kyoto and especially of the Gion district. Our guide, Mana, was authentic, friendly, and knowledgeable regarding the aspects of the history, buildings, and characters within the Gion district.

The Ghibli store was a nice bonus to the tour, where we also walked through the store.

I'd recommend this little incursion to anyone who enjoys listening to history, traveling to the past, and social events with a light-hearted approach.

‪Great tour of beautiful Kyoto ‬

‪Fantastic tour of a beautiful part of Kyoto. Ben was a very knowledgeable guide who taught us lots about the history of Kyoto and how it has influenced modern Kyoto. We did this on our last day in Kyoto and wish we had done this earlier so we could go back to some of the places pointed out along this tour. ‬

‪Nice way to visit Gion, Kyoto‬

‪It was a last minute plan to visit Kyoto and luckily I found this Gion tour. It was very informative. Kyoto's stunning! Sena (our tour guide) was really patient and explained the story in each landmark well. Highly recommend!‬

‪Our guide, Sena, took us to many interesting places, and I learned a lot new about Japanese culture in a nice group of fellow-travellers while walking the beautiful areas of Gion and Hirashiyama in Kyoto. It was my first walking tour, but not the last one.‬

‪We’ve been in Japan for over a week and learned more on this tour than we have in the previous 7 days! Sena was a wonderful tour guide. Very knowledgeable and also fun. Would 100% recommend!!‬
