It seems to have returned before the pandemic, and inbound travelers were prominent in the travel to and from Kansai International Airport. The majority of the airport express trains, which do not charge extra, seemed to be inbound travelers, with large luggage taking up space. Incidentally, this time I tried to get on the bus from one of the minor stations, Imamiyabizu Station, and again, there were many foreign users.

I boarded a Southern bound for Wakayama Port to catch a Nankai ferry from Wakayama Port. It was refreshing because I had only ever taken a train to Wakayama. Wakayama Port Station is a staircase while Namba Station is a huge escalator. It's hard to fall when you have luggage. All the same, it is nice to be able to get to Tokushima from Namba at such a low price.

We bought a ticket for 2 people on their website. When we got to the station we were told that's not the full ticket...we were required to pay an additional ticket to enter the station, price 5 times higher. An absolute joke. Asked for a refund and only got half back. Pure thievery. Didn't expect this in Japan. Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND using this company, ever.

Terrible purchase experience and stressful ride on the Nankai limited express . Use the local trains instead.
Bought TWO adult tickets and only got ONE voucher. staff at Nankai parks information counter asked for passport AFTER I pressed the submit button.
Website is terribly designed. Instead of sending me the QR codes via email you need to create some account on a shady website.
Other adult needed to create an account in some shady website to retrieve the second ticket. All of this had to be done 5 minutes before the train departed. After the second account is created. Some MANDATORY survey appeared almost making me miss my train.
Plenty of stress. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

It's been almost a year since I last took the Nankai Railway to Kansai Airport. The big difference from a year ago was that the "Rapi:t" was running at full capacity, and the Airport Express I took this time was also full of inbound travelers with large luggage. As a result, Kansai Airport Station was also extremely crowded, and the ticket vending machines were packed when I tried to buy a ticket.

The Nankai Electric Railway is a fast, clean and affordable way to get from Kansai International Airport to downtown Osaka.
You can choose the regular Airport Limited Express Train with no reserved seats or "Rapi:t" Limited Express Train which is a bit faster with reserved seats. The regular Airport Limited Express was just fine.
Conveniently located within the second floor of Terminal 2 of the airport with direct access to Namba Station, Tengachaya Metro Station and all other lines via transfer stations.
You can purchase a ticket at the Kansai Airport Station or just purchase an electronic Suica card via Apple Pay. Just open Apple Wallet, add a Suica card with $ and tap the entry gate with the "IC" symbol as you go in and out of the stations. Suica cards work all over Japan on all the trains and metro systems.
Easy access to hotels all attractions!
All transit systems should strive to be this clean, efficient and affordable!

Very efficient and an easy connection from Kansai International Airport. Easy to purchase a ticket before boarding. However, some points on this below. Made a few stops along the way. I was lucky as the final stop was Namba where my hotel was located. You can otherwise connect to the Metro. I got on the "Rapi:t" one, coming from the airport which is the Limited Express fast one. You get a Regular Seat allocated which is so comfortable plus free WIFI. It wasn't that much more in price compared to the normal service which was packed and I had lost the will to stand with luggage and be squashed in the heat. Pay a little more, worth it for speed and comfort. The "Rapi:t" Limited Express was hardly full and very relaxing. I would highly recommend doing the same or you can check how busy the normal service is and then make a call. You really don't want to be standing cramped with luggage after a flight! Leaving Osaka, I took the normal service, purely because the next "Rapi:t" Limited Express was booked and I couldn't wait for the one after that. When you leave, I suggest getting a ticket a day or two before departure as lines are long to purchase a ticket (also depends when you depart). They do move quickly. I think it is more if you want to go via the "Rapi:t" Limited Express then book in advance. There are many normal services which run regularly so you can easily get a reservation for this on the day. I boarded the standard service about 15 minutes before departure from Namba where it started. I got a seat but many boarding later and at other stops were not so lucky and had to stand with luggage. It wasn't packed, but near full. Clean. Not as comfortable as the"Rapi:t" Limited Express and I got bored for the 50 minute journey with no WIFI or nothing to read or do! Makes a few stops along the way. I think the journey time is 10 minutes more than the "Rapi:t" Limited Express. Keep your ticket as it is checked. Clean. Quick and easy whatever you decide. The main differences are comfort and speed (only slightly quicker). As I said, ticket price really isn't a lot more. Coming and going, I was more or less at my destination within the hour or just over. On the "Rapi:t" Limited Express, exits are either at the front or back of the Car you are allocated a seat in. I was in Car 3 which had a front Exit. Start making your way to the Exit in advance of your station as it is much easier to get off. For the standard service, just get off as normal at the nearest door. I was leaving from Terminal 1 when I left and the Terminal was literally a 2 minute walk from there. Staff were all helpful and friendly. They will assist with queries. Many speak basic English.

One of the staff members forced us to pay for the Nankai train when we saw other passengers pass through the gate with the JR Pass. We had the JR Pass. Apparently the JR Pass was not applicable to Nankai trains. I'm fine with the rule itself, makes sense, but the problem was that we saw other passengers enter with the JR Pass and yet us, as visitors of the country, were stopped by the staff. This will be my first and last impression of the Nankai railway.

This is the cheapest way of getting out from Kansai airport. Nankai offers the most straightforward route between airport and downtown Osaka. Service is frequent but seat is not always available.

橋本駅から高野線を利用しました。難波方面からの急行電車も橋本駅からは各停となり、急坂・急カーブの路線をゆっくりと登って行きました。特に急カーブ通過時の車輪と線路が擦れる騒音が酷く、これではスピードアップ自体が不可能と思わざるを得ない路線でした。因みに途中駅の利用者とあっては、ごく僅かとなっており、途中下車した紀伊細川駅では自動改札が設置され駅員も常駐していたものの乗車券は販売しておらず、乗車証明を手渡ししてくれる何ともローカルな駅となっていました。

Hi,
Do you need to buy the tickets for the Rapi:t Express (from KIX to Namba) in advance? There is reserved seating right? So I fear it might get sold out as we arrive in Osaka around 20:00 so we don't want to take the risk. Or is it perfectly fine to buy the tickets upon our arrival at KIX?

来年3月上旬に、30分に一本しか電車が来ない、津守駅の南南西8分くらいのOne Roomへ転居予定ですが、関空及び和歌山市へのSouthernなどへ乗り換える場合、岸里&玉出 or 堺でどの程度待つ必要がありますか？

津守駅は結構？不便です。岸里玉出駅で向かい側ホームへ移動し、南海本線の各駅停車に乗り換え。（昼間で大体5分程度の待ち合わせ）。そこから堺駅までは約10分。同駅で関空行き和歌山市行きの急行に乗り換えで、関空までは約40分、和歌山市までは約50分です。（堺駅では、各駅停車は特急・急行の待ち合わせ停車が多いので、数分で乗り換え電車が来ます）。なお和歌山市行きの特急・サザンは30分毎の運行ですから、同駅行き急行に乗り換えとなる場合もあるかと思います。関空なら空港行きの他は、和歌山市行きに乗車し、泉佐野駅で関空行きに再度乗り換えです。
