Came here with my cousins and their SO’s who have never done escape rooms before and they were very pleased with the experience. We did the Harry Potter themed room, and because they enjoyed it so much, did another impromptu one with the Sherlock themed room. As for myself, I found some clues were challenging, but some just didn’t make sense at all. There was also a technology fail in one of the rooms. We solved both rooms with some clues, and everyone had a lot of fun!

This is not the first time my team did this kind of mind games so we do have something to compare it with.
This is not the better one.
The staff was ok, speaks too fast and sounded sarcastic, perhaps it's her natural tone of voice.
Anyway, our group did the Mystery train something. We did not enjoy it. We were just frustrated.
When the mystery was explained at the end, there were no 'light bulb' moments as the explanation did not make sense.

I would like to raise a concern / file a complaint about our experience with Mystery Manila Eastwood last Saturday, 10 November. This is more of sharing our experience to provide feedback in order to improve your service.
It was a Girls’ Day Out last Saturday for my daughter (celebrating 13th birthday) and her classmates – first time to explore Mystery Manila as a group. I made a booking one month in advance to make sure we secure the time and room because there are other activities being set prior to and after the time booked (e. g. lunch – Mystery Manila @ 2:30pm – Movie @ 3:30pm) since time allotted for Mystery Manila is 50 minutes so I believe nothing could go wrong because of the booking system and constant reminder that players should be there 15 minutes before the schedule. I even went to the venue a day before to reconfirm the booking but the staff1 on duty said no need to do that since it’s in their system. The day came, the girls were so excited that they hurried lunch to go to Mystery Manila early. Upon arrival at 1:40pm, I notified the staff1 (same staff that I talked to the day before) that we’re early and we’ll just wait for 2:15pm for the briefing. While waiting, I thought of buying milk tea for the girls since we’re still early but they prefer not to go out anymore or do something else since time was flying fast to 2:15pm. There were also groups of kids/teenagers at the lounge area waiting. At 2pm, the staff2 called on a group with the same mystery theme (Tragedy on the Train) and started to brief them. I began wondering if there are 2 rooms with the same theme, thinking that the 2 groups will definitely overlap or conflict with the schedule since 50 min is allotted per game. At 2:15pm, I approached staff1 (the same staff that I talked to a day before and notified earlier upon arriving) and asked if they can do the briefing on time and as has been reminded of so we can start as scheduled because we have a movie set at 3:30pm. The staff looked puzzled and mentioned a different name I supposed was the group that they already let inside the room at 2pm. She checked the PC and went in a room (staff room) maybe to discuss the inconsistencies, etc. So she went out after about 10 minutes but never got back to me for an update. So I patiently waited for another few minutes and the girls were asking me why are they not being called yet for the briefing, it’s already 2:30pm, which the game should already start. So I went to the reception again, staff1 was not there, I asked another staff3 the reason for the delay and I explained that we booked way in advance and I even reconfirmed a day before and received this reminder below, ‘why is this happening” The staff3 was also clueless. During the period, I approached almost 4 staff to get attention and started to explain again and again because they don’t seem to know that our group was not assisted yet. I was very disappointed and was feeling bad for the girls who were excited and waited that long – they might be thirsty that I wanted to buy drinks for them but I prefer to stay trying to get an explanation and demand to start the game asap. The 4 staff that I approached could not explain the situation and had different reasoning – nagkaproblem daw sa room, nagkaproblem daw sa schedule, ahhh not sure why etc. only the last staff (guy) that I talked to expressed apologies, but the first ones never said anything to appease. The guy staff said that the girls will definitely be in by 2:50pm. By 2:50pm, staff2 (who also briefed the group at 2pm) started the briefing and let them in by 2:54pm. (whew 24 minutes late and more than an hour of waiting). The movie is at 3:30pm. I requested the staff to let the girls just finish the game and maximize the 50min time and not to rush so as not to spoil their excitement and can have enough time to solve the game. I have been planning this playdate since August to have a smooth and worry-free day for the girls. But it turned out a failure - for this particular activity, and as expected, we were late for the movie.

Played Pym Particle at Century City Mall, the game was completely different from the other escape games I have played, the multiple rooms were 'Antman-like' themed, with one puzzle per room and an hour to solve them. The rooms were basic yet interesting because of the size illusions. the puzzles are not immediately obvious and were quite difficult to solve. They were mainly word puzzles to combination locks and the answers are not always what they seem, which was frustrating as well as a little disappointing. Also, each clue you ask for adds an additional 5 minutes onto your overall time, we had to ask for a clue per room. Having played escape games in other countries, the puzzles seemed near impossible to solve. Overall, it was an interesting experience and I would like to go back for another try.

THE MYSTERY:
As mentioned in the briefing, this is a thinking game, so no brute force is necessary to uncover clues. If you are into word games and puzzles, then the Aztec Adventure is for you.
THE FACILITIES:
- I just hope that the Libis branch can improve the air-conditioning at their main lobby. It was particularly warm during our visit, and staying there more than 15 minutes with lots of other people may become uncomfortable.
- The briefing mentioned that there was a button to press if you wanted to ask for clues, but inside the room there was none, you just needed to knock twice on the main door then the game master will come right in. Although not a deal breaker, I think the facilities should match what is being mentioned in the briefing materials.
GAME MASTER:
He was very jovial and knew his craft well. Kudos to him! =)
PRICE:
Can't really complain, we got a 50% discount due to a Chinese New Year promo.
BOOKING:
It was a breeze, everything was done online, from booking to payment (a lot of choices for payment options, choose the one most suitable for you). Very convenient!

It was our first time to experience Mystery Manila and we had chosen Rebecca's Revenge. I was with my husband and 2 boys and we vowed to solve the mystery in as little time as possible.
It was not as easy as I had thought because the room was very dark and I had trouble looking out for clues. Fortunately my eldest son was quite quick to pick up on things and he was able to figure out the important details with the help of the staff (you are allowed to ask for clues but this will be a point against in the form of reduced playing time). We were able to solve the mystery just in time.
This was a good team-building experience for our family.

Glad to have found a mystery that is suitable for the whole family, including the youngest who wanted to solve a mystery for her ninth birthday.
Online booking is very convenient, you can choose the adventure and time slot you prefer. Make sure you arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before your time.
The staff are absolutely friendly and highly capable, they will explain all the rules clearly and will even take photos of your group afterwards.
Expect to pay 400- 550 per head, depending on how large your group is. For a group of 6 you can avail the lowest rate of 400 per head. The activity itself should take an hour, but allot an additional half hour for everything else (registering, picture taking, etc.).
All in all a great activity I would love to do again with my family, or with friends/ colleagues at work.

It's a great. We played the Rebecca's Revenge it's cool we're like babies inside the room shouting like freaks due to fear that someone will show up. We're able to complete the game and we are 3. Haha. For sure we'll be back for more games. :) 2 thumbs up!
