The Arts Depot is a wonderful space with seven resident artists and three galleries with rotating displays. The quality of the artwork is very high and there is a wide variety with prices to suit everyones budget, This would be a great place to stop by when you visit Abingdon. VA.

Enjoyed the weaving demonstration, and the pictures of the completed work. I have seen a lot of weaving over the last several years but nothing as impressive as the work in this studio. I highly recommend anyone who loves weaving to check out this destination. Impressive!!

This gallery is a block of Main Street in downtown Abingdon. It's got artists' studios and the art of other local artists.
The day we were there - there was a fantastic quilt display - with LOVE as the theme. Like a lot of these galleries - you get a real feel for the community. Lots of the pieces are for sale - at reasonable prices.
Since the shows change regularly - it's god place to visit regularly.

Very interesting experience. Artists are on-hand to talk about their work, and welcome visitors. We had a nice conversation with one who explained how she developed her technique of 3-D weaving. Her work was absolutely fascinating.

We walked through The Art Depot while visiting Abingdon. It has a variety of artisans working and products for sale. We didn't buy anything but it was nice to visit.

This is a working studio which means you have an opportunity to meet the artists and see them work. I was impressed with the quality and also the price. There was also a photography exhibit which was impressive. If you love photography you will enjoy learning from the composition of the works. Highly recommend!!!!!

Enjoyed interacting with the artists who were on hand. Some very talented and interesting artists were on hand and were happy to talk about their work.

Great visit at the Art Depot
Several of the artist were there to demonstrate their craft. Everyone was so talented. Loved the 3D fabric artist work. Voting on best in show was fun for our group.

Pleasant visit for about an hour. Artists have individual spaces here and you can chat while they work. One artist was especially interesting in that she produced pictures by weaving different colors of yarn.

Lots of studios and great art. Well worth a stop to see the various artists. This is an easy post to find from downtown.
