On the one hand, the park isn't especially large. On the other, it's a beautiful, scenic walk that we greatly enjoyed. Parking can be a bit tricky in the wrong circumstances, but I'd still recommend it nevertheless.

My daughter and I went here today to get outside and explore a new park in Auburn. The location is in an industrial area of town near Highway 167. You can see the highway while on the trail and the sound of traffic distracts from the sound of nature. The bird tower had garbage and graffiti in it. We had to quickly get out of there before my daughter read the foul messages and pictures on the walls. I did not feel comfortable while walking the trail. I will not return.

This park is really a hidden gem in Auburn. The park is well laid out and informative. Information plaques are everywhere. The boardwalk is well built and roomy. Usually not crowded so you can take a leisurely stroll. Good place to bring young kids and strollers.

A nice short stroll in a beautiful setting. There is on street parking right next to the entrance. I would recommend this easy site.

I enjoyed the walk I took here. The view was pretty with plenty of benches to stop on and watch the birds. The walk is an elevated plank bridge over marshy ground. I saw several wrens, robins and hawks on this walk. The walk is level and easily wheelchair accessible. There is also an elevated platform at the beginning of the walk to view birds. This was a nice option to view birds locally.

This extremely small park looks promising, but when I was there in mid March it was very quiet. I hope it gets more activity later iin the spring (bird wise). It is also a little out of the way, so with the warning signs in the parking lot, I am not sure how safe it is. The boardwalk is very nice along with the educational signs.

The Environmental Park is essentially a boardwalk with a birding tower and picnic tables at one end. There are trailheads on both Main Street and Western Ave, but Western Ave is the better choice if you're driving since there is a small parking lot available there. The birding tower and platform are there too just adjacent to the parking lot.
From the tower, the boardwalk meanders through wetlands and meadows to the Main Street end. Along the way there are many benches as well as interpretative signage on the wildlife and environments on view. Because of the sensitivity of the area, leave your dog at home (except, of course, for service dogs). For bike riders, this park is easily accessible from the nearby Interurban Trail, but plan on parking your bike at the trailhead and enjoying the park on foot. Bring field glasses if you have them; this is a paradise for birding!
