we did by them 4 days private tour to minas gerais: ouro preto, tiradentes, mariana and inhotim museum. our guide mateus did an excellent job, he is very knowledgeable, speaks fluent english and the tour was very well organized.

The city, located on the slopes of a narrow and winding valley delimited by two mountain ranges in the so-called Minas Gerais region, originated from the process of aggregation between the various gold mining camps, established there at the beginning of the 18th century.

Serra do Cipó is a district of the Santana do Riacho municipality, in the interior of the state of Minas Gerais. Serra do Cipó is one of the most beautiful regions of Minas Gerais, full of beautiful landscapes with numerous waterfalls, walls, canyons, caves and streams.
I recommend visiting and taking a bath in the waterfalls (cachoeiras). The Farofa waterfall is located within the Serra do Cipó National Park and is one of the most famous. From the park entrance, it is a walk of approximately 2 hours. During the tour, travel along trails between mountains, valleys, plains, streams, meadows, streams and streams, with exuberant flora and fauna.
For lovers of adventure and extreme sports, the Serra do Cipó is a plate full of activities, such as trekking, rappelling, cycling, canoeing and mountaineering.

Sono stato ala Serra do Cipò con un tour privato.
Una interessantissima meraviglia.
Ma, il grande merito va anche alla guida che mi ha accompagnato, Dalton.
Un profondo conoscitore della zona, conoscitore anche scientifico di tutto quello che compone questo meraviglioso biosistema, il Cerrado.
Poi la interessantissima storia del luogo, con la misteriosa e sconosciuta civiltà del 'Povo de Luzia' di 13 mila anni fa, poi la più recente Estrada Real che passava di qui ed ancora ci sono i resti evidenti; strada del periodo coloniale Portoghese che collegava Diamantina a Paraty.
Oltre al lato professionale di Dalton, rimarchevole anche la sua umanità, sempre disposto ad aiutarti e darti i consigli per render più facili il percorso nei tratti non sempre molto agevoli.
Altamente consigliato!

Severin at KOPA tours recently stepped up to arrange a fantastic private transport from Belo Horizonte and a guided tour in Ouro Preto. The experience was well worth it and we enjoyed every minute of the day. Would highly recommend KOPA tours for anyone who is looking for an experienced stress free way to tour in the area.

This was a great day tour. I was a bit uncertain when I booked it because the description of the activity on Viator/TripAdvisor was very basic and didn't do it any justice, I wasn't even sure if I was getting a guide or simply transportation with free time in the two towns - but I'm glad we went ahead. Our guide was very knowledgeable, spoke perfect English and accompanied us every minute of the day (including lunch in a delicious local restaurant), sharing his knowledge and love of the places and the history with us. It was a perfect balance of seeing a lot (3 churches, two museums, a mine) without rushing too much, and learning about all the key highlights.

POUSO JARDIN de ASSIS
This is a small, 4 b’rm , B&B, that was an excellent choice for my wife and I. Right To the private gated parking to the porter who assisted us, the location was fantastic.
The rooms were nice size with a queen bed and ample, “real”, pillows.
The bathroom was well appointed with a modern large rainstorm shower head. The water pressure was a bit low, but that did not take away from the experience.
There was a very good continental style breakfast with fresh cut local fruit and juice. Fresh home baked bread and French style rolls and along with homemade jams and jelly. Coffee was fresh Brazilian, hand dripped. Perfect!
They have a beautiful comfortable patio with great Mountain-views.
The city proper of Ouro Preto, an old, historic city, with narrow cobblestone streets, 80 Km NE of Belohorizonte. It is situated in the center of the state of Minas Gerais and is often considered the beginning of Brazil. In the 1700’s it was settled by immigrants from Portugal, drawn by gold and precious gems. They influenced the architecture and society and built many churches, using their artistry with gold leaf everywhere.
The Mineira cuisine is very good, with quality and variety, from small eateries to fine dining with traditional Brazilian as well as, International food.
Pictured is a Grilled Seafood w Ink-stained pasta, my personal favorite.
There were a number of tours of the city and surrounding villages using covered but open 4wheel drive vehicles to navigate the mountainous terrain. The tours are priced according to length of time of the chosen tour.
Overall, Ouro Preto is an excellent choice if you are looking for a truly historic Brazilian experience.

The tour was great. We had a really good time with Lianne. She added so much to the tour with background information about architecture and Brazilian culture.
And, she introduced us to the Brazilian's love of cheese buns and good coffee!!
Lianne also gave us tips on other things to do around where we were staying in Lagoa Santa (Lapinha caves and museum).

What age do you consider a child? I have three students - 16 years of age in your city. I am interested in setting up a City tour for them during a down period. This looks like a great way to see your beautiful city in one afternoon.

For children until 05 years of age, we don´t charge. Children between 06-10 years, we charge half price. From 11 years on we charge the full price. Please get in touch via email, aviator, skype or phone for further informations.
