Ero già stata in Cambogia alcuni anni fa e avevo visitato Phnom Penh e Siem Reap. Battambang nella mia esperienza è stata la visita della vera Cambogia.. quella della gente reale, della vita di adesso.
Kim in questo senso è stata la scelta migliore: non solo per l' ottimo inglese e la conoscenza del suo paese, ma anche per la passione nel condividerlo con noi.
Eravamo in 2 e ci trovavamo a Siem Reap. Kim , che avevamo preventivamente contattato via mail, ci ha organizzato un auto che ci è venuta a prendere alle 7 del mattino all' hotel dove alloggiavamo.. in circa 2 ore e mezza eravamo a Battambang e - passati per l' hotel per lasciare il bagaglio - abbiamo girato con lui in tuk tuk tutto il giorno.
E' stato con noi anche a cena perché l' hotel che avevamo prenotato dall' Italia era un pò fuori dal centro e non c' erano taxi in giro.. così poi ci ha riaccompagnati. Massima disponibilità insomma!
Il giorno dopo ci ha portati alla barca (ci aveva già preso lui i biglietti secondo nostra richiesta) con la quale siamo rientrati a Siem Reap lungo il fiume e lago Tonle Sap.. bellissima esperienza anche questa.
Facile da contattare, veloce nel rispondere, flessibile nell' organizzare, preciso, puntuale ed appassionato.. Insomma Super Kim! E grazie infinite a lui..

We had a fantastic day with Kim. He is really knowledgeable about Cambodia and its history and shared so much with us, which we really appreciated.
The bat caves were a massive highlight and a must see, it was spectacular to watch and Kim knew the best place to go and watch.
Unfortunately the old bamboo train wasn’t running so we went to the new one, which was very odd. I think the old one would have been much better if it was running.
Kim was very kind and showed us all around and told us wonderful stories and legends. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Mr Kim's tour was absolutely brilliant, I cannot recommend him highly enough. Not only is he so friendly and speaks great English, he is so knowledgeable about not only Battambang and the locality but Cambodian history in general to make sure you have a context. I could not do the bamboo train due to work pressure my side but the sunset tour with the secret bat cave was one of my highlights in my whole three weeks in Cambodia. Kim is so flexible, and I used him for every ride I needed in Battambang. I booked to go to the circus, and when he had a problem with his tuktuk his brother was there perfectly on time to take me and he was as friendly as Kim and very funny - what a great family business! I cannot imagine a better guide than Kim, you don't need to look any further.

Well, what a revelation Kim Tours turned out to be. My family selected a one day tour, so that we could learn more about Battembang before we used our next two days to explore ourselves.
We gained so much more knowledge and information from Kim about his beloved Battembang and Cambodia, that we booked a second tour the next day, which was equally as informative. Holiday money well spent!!
Kim was warm & funny with a great sense of humour. We really enjoyed his company and nothing was too much trouble, stopping when we expressed an interest in something along the roadside. We learnt about Kim' s family history too, which made the tour personal and heart- felt.
Thank you Kim.....highly recommended.....easy peasy! Wishing you a happy 2023!

We just spent two unforgettable days with Kim and we loved his story telling, livelihood, jokes and smile ! We learnt so much about Cambodia and his tours were the best part of our trip ! You need to meet him ! Thank you again !!

Wir hatten 3 großartige Tage in Battambang mit Kim. Er hat unsere Reise zu einem ganz besonderen Erlebnis gemacht. Er ist voll und ganz auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen & hat mit uns alles erkundet, was wir uns gewünscht haben. Eine Farm, eine Schule, einen local market und vieles vieles mehr. Kim spricht ausgezeichnet Englisch und ist zudem total lustig und humorvoll. Er lebt für sein Land und das trägt er auch nach außen. Danke danke danke Kim für die tolle Zeit mit dir.

We had an amazing time with Mr. Kim!!! He volunteered to pick us up from the bus station & greeted us with a sign and a big smile before taking us by our guesthouse to drop our bags (no additional charge). He drove us all around the city and countryside and gave us options as to what we wanted to do the most. Everything on the tour was incredible and he showed us parts of the countryside we wouldn’t have even known about otherwise. He speaks really great English and is easy to understand! He also gave some fascinating information and personal insight about Cambodian history and the Khmer Rouge. After our tour he even drove us around town to help us book a bus to our next destination before taking us back to our guesthouse. I highly recommend spending a day seeing the sights of Battambang with Mr. Kim!!!

Le tour de Kim est fantastique. Kim nous a fait découvrir des saveurs, des villages de Battambang que nous n aurions pas pu découvrir par nous même. Kim est très à l écoute et répond à toutes nos questions. Il parle très bien anglais et est très professionnel. Le meilleur guide que nous ayons eu au Cambodge jusqu'à présent.

I can only select one of Mr Kim's tours for this review, but we actually did both across two days as a group of 6.
The tour was absolutely excellent! The places Mr Kim took us were authentic and really interesting, the price was reasonable, the communication was fantastic, he put a lot of effort into tailoring the trip to us, making it fun and giving us lots of interesting info and there was no upselling or hidden costs.
My partner and I have built up healthy scepticism of tours like this - in other places we've just been ferried around between the "attractions" or "businesses" by an uninterested driver who was getting commission from anything we bought. So I was a little wary when we signed up for this that we might get pressured into buying things or at least have to sit and listen to sales pitches from the businesses, but this tour was NOT that. Not at all. Mr Kim took us to places that were clearly working local businesses, not just there for tourists. Not once did any of the people pressure us to buy anything or give us a sales pitch. Mr Kim gave us loads of useful info and personal anecdotes at each place and made extra stops for things he thought we would be interested in.
Mr Kim was kind, helpful, chatty without being overbearing and had lots of interesting personal knowledge and I've come away with the distinct impression we got a real, unfiltered look at Cambodian life around Battambang. Fantastic tour, 12/10 would recommend! Thank you!

What a great way to get to know Cambodia! Kim took us to lots of really interesting villages to see all sorts of products being made in family communities. He was so knowledgeable and went out of his way to show us things we wanted to see in addition to what was advertised in the trip. He is such a lovely man.
