‪Important History Artfully Told‬
نوفمبر 2021
‪We visited the park as a part of the Red Clay Tours Civil Rights Tour. The statues tell a very moving and disturbing story that is part of the history of Birmingham.‬

‪Kelly Ingram Park‬
سبتمبر 2021
‪A very moving experience. Be sure to walk the entire circle to get a taste of how the civil rights movement happened in Birmingham. The parking is free on weekends and the park is just across the street from 16th Street Baptist Church. We did not go into the nearby museum because of a lack of time but want to see it someday.‬

‪This park makes the atrocities that happened really come to life. I think it’s a must see for learning about the civil rights movement’s early days.‬

‪Nice Walking Tour, but Beware of Panhandlers!‬
يوليو 2021
‪This is a nice free park to visit commemorating the Civil Rights era. The statues are thought provoking and truly make one think as they walk through. The statue of the dogs and the water cannons are eye opening and can ignite a lot of conversations. The self guided tour is nice and uses a smart phone to provide info. However, the panhandlers here are TERRIBLE! They really detracted from our experience, as we couldn't walk a few yards without being hounded. That is the reason why I gave this park a 2.5/3.‬

‪Informative walking tour‬
يونيو 2021
‪The self guided tour of this park is well done. It is clearly marked, and you use your cell phone to call at the different stations to learn about what happened in the park. It's across the street from the Civil Rights museum and the 16th St Baptist Church, so it is easy to drop in and look at the statues commemorating the events that took place in the park.‬

‪I gave this park a 2 because it is over run with homeless. I couldn’t walk a few feet without being asked for money. One gentleman who approached me was very knowledgeable of what happened in Birmingham and in particular the bombing at the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church. I enjoyed talking with him and did give him a $20, but after he left, a few others came up to me for money. Unfortunately I only got to see a small portion of the park closest to the church. Hopefully other people reading this and decide to go will have a better experience.‬

‪Stunning and tragically beautiful sculptures. AMAZING!‬
أبريل 2021
‪It is hard to articulate how powerful some of the sculptures are within the park. Examples of the dogs used, water cannons, jails...the continued struggle. I walked through this with my family in awe and very reflective. Truly a beautiful and amazing place if you are wanting to teach and illustrate the beginnings of the modern Civil Rights Movement.‬

‪Awesome Tour Guide!‬
العائلة • أبريل 2021
‪We had the honor of receiving a tour of the park from an official tour guide named Tony. He knew his information and was very happy to teach us. He didn’t ask for any $ but we gave him $20 which he seemed to appreciate. Great tour, awesome guy! (Make sure to ask him about the Welsh stained glass windows of the 16th street chapel)‬

‪Moving visit‬
مارس 2021
‪I stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon to pay my respects. I was able to park across from the church in a lot for free. The area at least on the weekend seems a bit desolate. I've read other people comment there were some shady people around and they got hassled by panhandlers. I wasn't bothered but.... this dude Tony who was riding around on his bike came over and did start talking to me about the bombing. And in the end since I was alone I enjoyed walking around the park and church and hearing him tell me the history. Made the visit that much better for me. The park has a good deal of information as you walk from sculpture to sculpture. The statue of the four little girls is very moving. I really enjoyed my visit made that much better by the local who acted as my guide. I could see where other people maybe would be turned off by that. Not me.‬

‪Nice Visit - Helpful History Markers - Maybe a Little Sprucing Up‬
أكتوبر 2020
‪Powerful memorials and nice to read the historical sign posts. There were some questionable characters wandering about during the day which wasn't too surprising considering we were downtown. maybe a touch of TLC would help spruce the place up but definitely a must stop for individuals learning about the country's civil rights history.‬
