De la talla de varios mall de comida a nivel mundial, Portela es un lugar hermoso, buen ambiente, buena musica, tomamos coteles en Folklor una piña colada deliciosa con coco tostado por encima, comimos en Comal unos tacos deliciosos y una quesadilla de chicharron super recomendado el sitio!

My first visit to Ecuador, albeit brief, called for an afternoon of fun and authenticity (minus a few chain stores). The Mall del Sol, being attached via open-air walkway to the Sheraton, is an amazing way to spend good time in the city, particularly on rainy days like mine. I greatly enjoyed it. It’s safe, clean, and diverse, with nearly a hundred different stores from which to choose, as well as a huge food court, arcade/game center, and movie theater. I roamed the corridors and browsed the shops for nearly four hours and still didn’t get to everything I wanted to do.
With free Wifi, great pedestrian access (car access is another story), decent accessibility for wheelchairs, good security, and wonderful store/eatery options, I can’t recommend this mall enough. Plus, its proximity to the airport and general downtown attractions is a huge boon. Thanks for being a delightful mall!

Be careful when asking directions. It was never my intention to tour the whole mall, but I carefully followed the directions I was given. "Walk to the end, go down the stairs, it'll be right there." Well, KFC was not where she said it was. I was tired, in pain, and probably needed the long walk, but finally found someone who directed me back upstairs to the Food Court. There was a MegaMaxi Supermarket that covered much of the first floor - anything you might want to find in a grocery store is in that grocery store. There were a lot of small shops and stores around. If one was in the mood for shopping, this would be the place to be!
The food court was very large with multiple companies - some local and some world-wide. Watch your order though - it might not be exactly what you asked and paid for. Mine had only one col slaw - I paid for two - but I wasn't about to walk all the way back there to complain.
The mall was easily accessed from a bridge between the Tryp by Wyndham Hotel and the mall - coming out just around the corner from the food court. You had to use your key card from the hotel to get into and out of the hotel - safety feature.

Muchas opciones de comida, marcas internacionales, cine, entre otros. Para mejorar la experiencia es preferible pagar parqueo en Sonesta

Hay lugares con comida mala aunque no parezca por ejemplo Texas chicken también Italian Deli no los recomiendo.

Este mall de Guayaquil es pequeño, más buen por su tamaño podríamos llamarlo shopping más bien; pero en sus dos plantas tiene todo lo necesario para pasar un buen rato, incluyendo cines y patio de comidas con múltiples opciones.
Con varios bancos en planta inferior como es habitual en Ecuador, tiendas de ropa, electrónicos, deportes, joyería y relojería, hay zonas de juegos para niños y el tradicional trencito. Muy recomendable una librería. Buen lugar para visitar

OK Mall, lots of shops, dining places, large food court (good luck finding a table).
Finding a parking spot is a challenge. Be prepared to wait (and now pay if freetime is exceeded) for a spot.

Good location in Guayaquil, safe area. Has a big food court with all kinds of options (vegan or not), big supermarket and also a movie theater with very comfortable seats!

If a visitor, don't expect to find cheap prices of nearly anything in a mall or Grocery store. Since Ecuador is on the US dollar, prices have soared, but stabilized. Food items can be double the cost they are in the US. You have to go to street markets for good prices. The indian market is another good option. If you want to see hundreds of people though of all ages, walking this giant mall is a nice fun activity and it even has a small Catholic chapel in it.

Fun to spend some lazy time here. Modern western stores. Lots of activities for kids. Choices of places to eat fast food or some gourmet foods. Very busy. Easy to get taxis outside the mall.
