Amazing crew and experience. Dive masters made sure you felt completely at ease. Even had an underwater photographer. Can't wait to see Caroline's pictures.
The fish were beautiful, the crew was fantastic. I can't say enough about the entire trip. I would highly recommend people of all ages check these guys out. They are the best and made an incredible memory for my family.

My 12 year old daughter and I had an excellent time. Both the underwater scooter AND the snorkling. Staff and captain were super helpful, informative, and amable. We scuba, but wanted to mix things up. Highly recommend! and we loved the photos, great way to share this memorable time together on this beautiful island.

Indescribably fun! We are in our 70’s, overweight & have arthritis issues. So it was not real easy in & out of water (a good ladder) but SO worth the effort. And there was not a second that we did not feel safe. Amazing skilled professionals with you at all times. We had a wonderful time!
The bus trip from our cruise ship was fun as well. Friendly, helpful narrative about the area & tips to enjoy.
Highly recommend this to everyone!

We just got back from our cruise and chose the BOSS underwater scooter as our shore excursion. It was such an awesome experience with very friendly crew including Jen our “babysitter on land” who gave us great information on the culture during our short ride to and from the boat! Thank you all so much! Amazing!

When my family and I were planning our cruise and excursions on the Carnival Celebration this is the one that I did NOT give them an option on, I wanted to do this. My wife and 2 kids were SOOO glad that I did, it was the most awesome experience of our lives. Everyone in the crew is awesome, and so understanding, and helpful, we did not think my son would do it, as he was having issues with the fish, but they allowed us to snorkel off the side of the boat that they were not feeding the fish on, thank you to Capt. Kelly for that, and the divers were awesome getting my son into the scooter, and he had a BLAST. HUGE thank you to the team and our guide Victor for the info and the personal touch. I have told everyone I know that they HAVE to come see this team for this awesome experience.

Best Excursion Ever! My husband and I booked this activity while cruising with Royal Caribbean. He’s 65 and I’m 62. We’re not risk-takers or adventurers at all. But after reading all the reviews and the details on their website, we decided this was something we could do. I was still a little nervous. We were shuttled to the site from the dock. Our guide “Delicious” was efficient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Restrooms available there before you board. Water on the boat. Everyone received a life vest. Crates available under your seats for your personal items. Lots of good information and demonstration to make you feel comfortable and safe. We were divided into 3 groups according to our colored wristbands. While you waited your group’s turn, you’re allowed to snorkel, swim, or just relax. The boat is very easy to get off of into the water and back onto out of the water. There were about 6 divers helping at all times. Plus the Captain and the underwater photographer. If you need help or have a question, just let them know. They taught us the 3 signs we needed to know. OKAY, HELP, TAKE ME UP. We went in December. Water was cool, but not cold. I did wear a rash guard shirt. It was easy to get into the BOSS helmet and onto the scooter with a diver helping each person. I even kept my glasses on so I could see the fish and coral clearly. Of course, I had a strap on them. You can easily reach your hand inside the helmet at any time to wipe your face, adjust your glasses, take a pic if you have a waterproof phone case, or equalize your ears. The scooter is easy to maneuver. Just press the green button on the right side of the steering wheel to go forward. Everything looks way closer than what it actually is so I kept thinking I could reach out and touch the fish. LOL The divers and the photographer were always close by. About halfway they group you with your family and friends to take pics. The digital package of everything is $60. This was an awesome experience. I felt safe the entire time. The water is so clear! You see lots of coral and lots of fish. You won’t regret it!

This was one for the books! I honestly was so scared to do this but since the last 2 yrs have taught me how short and precious life is, I went for it. First of all, the experienced divers that are with this company are amazing. I am in awe of them. If it wasn't for Damian, I probably would have chickened out. But he talked me through it. He was so patient and so kind, my anxiety just went away. When it was time to come back to the top, he was right there waiting for me, just as he said he would be. It was the most beautiful coral reef I've ever seen. The experience is bucket list worthy. There were fish, and turtles, and the water was so clear. I'd definitely recommend this company and this tour. The captain of the boat was SO dang kind to us. All the guys were just perfect. If I could rate this tour 20 stars I would!!

Omg this excursion was amazing!! They made us feel very safe and secure. We on a small boat not too far out into the ocean, they gave us a tutorial on how to maneuver the scooter, they had several scuba divers around us to make sure we were okay. The water was crystal clear. There were about 30 people on the boat so they separated everyone into 3 groups and we had maybe about 20-30 mins in the scooter. While we waited our turn, they provided snorkel gear to snorkel around the reefs (which were beautiful). There was water and a mini shower on the boat. If you have a GoPro or other underwater camera, I suggest you take it. TONS of fish around. And some of the guides would empty fish food around you while you snorkel so fish could swim all around you. It was amazing and would definitely do this excursion again!! Take reef safe sunscreen. Not required but it's best for the environment.

The underwater BOSS experience and snorkeling was enjoyable. However, I paid for the photo package and was told that I would receive an email link within 5 days once photos were uplaaded. I never received the link. The business card which I was given at the time of purchase did not reflect the correct contact information. I have tried to email several times and it is an undelieverable address. I would really like the correct contact information so that I am able to either get the photos for which I paid or get a refund. Thank you.

Is this the Boss Underwater Adventure affiliated with Royal Caribbean Cruises? If so, are the scooters allowed to go various directions? How long is spent on a scouter?

We booked through the cruise line, scooters all follow each other its about 1/2 on scooter....awesome helpful staff the snorkling is amazing!!!

Hello, I am sorry I am just getting to your question. I don't know when your cruise is or if you already have been to the island but unfortunately we cannot overbook the tour and if the ship is sold out we wouldn't have any more room. I hope you were able to enjoy your cruise and maybe see you in the future.

There was another company that said they offered it on their website but we could never get in touch with them! We even had a local driving around with us trying to find the office. Ocean Connections Water Sports is the one that trademarked the underwater scooter thing, so not sure you'll be able to find someone else. They offer other activities though! There are also many many vendors walking on the beaches offering snorkeling, etc.

Certified divers staying a week in end of March. Does your "per dive quote include equipment? Or is there a separate charge for BC/regulator.

Hello...thank you for asking about the BOSS tour. If you are flying in and staying on the island we charge $100.00 per person. If you are on a cruise ship you have to book through the shore excursion desk. Let me know if you would like to book a tour.

We are coming in on Carnival Glory 12/20/16 and are wondering how we can book this excursion directly, NOT through the cruise ship? We have been looking for an underwater scooter adventure for months!! Thank you.

They picked us up right at the port. We came in on a curise. The have milk crates on the boat for everyones belongings, and a dry box if you need it.

Thanks for taking the time to write a great review! We are going on a cruise in November and were debating whether to book through the cruise line or book at the dock. Any suggestions or insight on booking the excursion on our own? I also see that it's for a few hours - do they allow you to stay and snorkel during the down time? Can we bring our own food/drinks in a cooler? Thanks so much for your time.

I've always booked through the cruise line prior to getting on the ship. If you want to go on a specific excursion that you don't want to fill up fast book as soon as you can. You should be able to do what you want on down time. If you are snorkeling with a group as part of the excursion yes they do sanitize the gear. You can bring food too but don't bring a huge ice chest that will take up a whole back seat of a van. Just bring back pack size things to hold your food. Depending on what you do you may have to rent lockers to store things so keep it as small as you can. Do research on what your going to do as much as you can. Once booked the cruise line should know more details. Take care.

Hello...sorry for the late response. We would love to have you join us on the tour. During July we only run the tour a couple days a week according to the cruise ship schedule unless you have a large group and we can make special arrangements for you. Lisa...If you are arriving to the island on a cruise ship then yes you do have to book through the activities Director either in advance or when you board. We recommend booking in advance since the tour does regularly sell out. You will have to check with the cruise line for the price. Hope to see you soon.
