Very nice dance and Kerala martial arts. The dance was amazing and was good experience. The Kerala Martial arts was superb and extra ordinary. Really it is worth to visit there.

I found this place little unique and thought of visiting the same.
I attended the kalaripattu show at 6pm. They even have kathakali at 5pm.
They charge 300/- per person per show.
So, at 600/- you can witness both kathakali and Kalaripattu.
It was first time watching such a show of martial arts.
I found it really interesting and engaging.
The performers are very well trained in Kalaripattu.
They showcase variety of fights like sword fight, spear fight, belt stunts, free style stunts , Bar stunts and many more.
The fire stunts at the last is the highlight.
At the end they give a chance to click photos with the artists.
It's totally worth it and one should witness such show when in Munnar.

The ending acts of Kalariyapattu is a most fulfilment part, while the opening expression demonstration in Kathakali is yet another highlight. Kudos to the artists performing them. Felt thrilled to watch the show, and would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Munnar.

The fusion dancers were so good . Although I didn't knew the language of the songs played I could understand everything because of their expression.

The Kathakali Show and The Kalaripayattu Bout were both mesmerising. Our 2 year old son also enjoyed a lot, especially Kalaripayattu. The only down point was sound effects, they need to work on it.

I attended the show over a period of two days.First day I attended the Kathakali performance which was very good.The facial expressions of the dancer personifying the female character was top-notch.The latter part of the performance the commentary was in Malayali so it was difficult to understand thus turned a bit boring for people who couldn't understand what was going on.But overall if you understand dance,you'll enjoy the performance thoroughly.
The next day we went for the Kalariyapattu performance.It was excellent!!!!!Highly recommend this show because you'll just admire the flexibility and agility of the performers because they are so good at what they are doing.They also call for members from the audience as part of the performance where one person can even jump over 6 people!The last part of the show was an act with fire which though dangerous,is worth every penny.If you travel to Munnar even if for one day please pay this place a visit.Though it may seem dilapidated from outside but don't judge the book by its cover.You'll definitely have a good time.

This is a small enclosed space that has stages for performance of local art and culture. Saw the martial arts performance of one hours and was not disappointed. The physical construct of the place may not be exciting (can be disappointing also) but the performances certainly entertain you well. Entrance tickets are a bit pricey and parking can be issue in case of huge turnout. They also provide a photo op opportunity with the performers.

We were taken here by a local, otherwise wouldn't have known what to do or where to go. It's R300 to get in. Seats are arranged in galleries around a central sand-floored pit/ performance space. It's dark & hot & sweaty, but good fun. We saw six athletes doing a whole string of exercises involving gymnastics, sticks, pikes, swords, fire. It's well-rehearsed, looks physically very demanding, and some of it quite amazing (speed, dexterity, ferocity), but also quite formalised. Commentary was in Malayam only, so we never knew what was coming next! Children in the audience get to participate in one sequence involving athletes jumping over them. After the performance you can get a photo with the athletes.

Enjoyed as it was something different ...have 2 parts ..1 hr Khatakali and 1 hr Kalaripatu
First part of demonstration of Khatakali forms were boring ....Story part was good .
Kalaripatu was best and worth money spent ....
I suggest 30 min Kathakali and 90 min Kalaripatu
