Guna Caves - The only thing you see is a name board and fencing. I am not even sure if these are caves. ‬

‪10 rupees entrance for both adults and kids Need to take few steps and walk a bit to reach the forest structured place. Caves is closed and sealed. Only you can enjoy the scenic beauty and there are many eatables available near this spot. So, one can take a break and have snacks nearby‬

‪There is nothing like a cave at guna cave according to me‬

‪Plz do not go on the name(Guna Cave) bcz there is no cave seen only the bushes of the cave is seen.
I suggest if you want pics of mountains then go or else useless. No history about the cave is also given , but the ticket is charged‬

‪nothing to see as such as the cave is closed and cant visit‬

‪movie guna was shot here and after that the name changed to Guna cave. one can see only the trees and the cave as such is not accessible and closed due to a mishap few years back as per the local driver‬

‪कोडाईकनाल में पाइन फॉरेस्ट के करीब आकर्षक पर्यटन स्थल है जाने का बेहतरीन समय अक्टूबर से मार्च का है मुख्य सड़क पर से कोई आधा किलोमीटर चढ़ाई करके 350 की फुट की ऊंचाई पर जाना चढ़ाई के लिए कोई पहाड़ नहीं है सड़क बनी हुई है जगह जगह बेंच से रखी है इस चढ़ाई के बाद एक समतल पठार आता है ,यहां पर कई घने वृक्ष हैं जिनकी जड़ें इस पहाड़ी क्षेत्र में दूर-दूर तक फैली हुई गुच्छे की तरह नजर आती है हम फरवरी के अंतिम सप्ताह में वहां गए थे आपको एवं धुंध थी बादल इतने नीचे थे कि लग रहा था कि हम बादलों के ऊपर चल रहे हैं इस कैसे पठार पर आप विश्राम करके फिर चलेंगे जहां पर पहाड और खाईया है वहां से लकड़ी के खूबसूरत पूल बने हुए हैं पठार के फीर चढ़ाई शुरू होती है कोई 200 फुट की उंचाई गुना केव दिखती है पर इस समय वे द्वार पर रे लिंग लगाकर बंद कर दी है एक मचान भी मिलेगा जो कि लोहे का है सीढ़ियां चढ़कर ऊपर आपको खूबसूरत नजारे देखने को मिलेंगे तैरते हुए बादल तथा पहाड़ों के बीच खूबसूरत घाटियों के नजारे देखने को मिलते हैं अपना पानी पीने का साथ में लेकर आए नीचे आकर विश्राम करके तथा खूबसूरत जंगल को निहारे ।मुख्य सड़क पर खाने-पीने के काफी स्टाल हैं तथा यहां एंट्री टिकटभी है‬

‪Famous tourist spot‬

‪This is famous tourist spot in kodaikanal where maniratnam movee Guna starring Kamalhassan had been shot and hence got the name as Guna cave.Earlier they used to allow the people to watch cave view from far distance.Now they closed it due safety reasons and we can have the nice mountain view covered with mist.There are some wild woods which feels like tangled cobras.We need pay 10rs as entry fees to enter the place‬

‪Not worth it!‬

‪The images that you to get see on the internet builds up your excitement to visit this place. You imagine some thrilling lost caves hidden in the wild woods. Alas!! There is nothing of that sort. At the outset the weekend traffic puts you off.. and finally when you reach your destination you wonder where the caves are.

Thanks to a fellow traveller who told us that the narrow openings in the ground that has been covered with metal grills are the caves. We tried peeping through the gaps in between the grills but all we could see is heavy vegetation. It was a sheer disappointment. The weather was foggy so we couldn't see much of the scenic beauty either but honestly i don't think the view would have been anything expectational. There was absolutely nothing to do...you just take an entry ticket and walk half a mile in the woods which feels just like walking in any other nature trail. you reach the destination and then keep wondering "Now what!" The only attraction was a gigantic tree with its roots and branches spread wide on the ground giving a spooky feeling. You can take few clicks there that’s it. Sad but true like most of the tourist spots in India this too is not maintained.‬
