The trip to the bar was not easy on a motorcycle, but possible.
My opinion about the place is quite divided because we didn't got a chance to go into the bar at all.
When we arrived we were asked to pay 100 baht each to enter the bar (we knew this in advance), I asked to enter alone just for a short moment to see the remaining seats in the bar but the employees did not allow me to and asked for 100 baht per person even if it was only for a second. He kept saying 100 baht over and over without even listening to my request. They spoke in an unpleasant manner even though I explained that I just wanted to see what seats were left because I didn't want to sit there if there wasn't a comfortable seat with a view but they didn't allow me to and kept repeating that I had to pay or leave. It was unpleasant and they spoke aggressively and you could say they were quite greedy.
It's just a bar with a view and it's a shame to pay the entrance if that's the attitude. There are beautiful views of Koh Tao and free of charge and with a lovely attitude from the employees at the restaurant / bar :)

Totally worth the scoot up! It was in places steep but totally worth it, such a cool family owned little treehouse which is really unique with the most incredible views of Koh Tao. The cocktails very also very tasty and i highly reccomend the food, truly authentic and tasty thai, cooked with an incredible view. Definitely fit this into your Koh Tao itinery!

Great hotel for the price. Maybe a bit far from two main villages, but so good i still had to rate it 5 stars. On Koh Tao you are probably gonna rent a motorbike for 200tbh/day anyway so the distance didn't matter to us. Very nice and cozy public areas, convenience store downstairs, helpful staff, clean rooms and other areas and last but not least cheap. The breakfast is very simple, you only have two basic options but those kind of choises is what makes the hotel affortable, by not having too many options people don't need.

I've tried a few times in the past, but the lady at the shop always told me that it was dangerous from here on. It's true that the road was muddy after the rain last time, and I gave up because it was the off-season, but this time the road was completely dry. I paid for the drinks and went to this view point with the lady, but it was clearly different from the photo of the MangoView point I saw on Google Maps. Then I found a post saying, "There's a fake point just before the real MangoView point." It turns out that the place where the lady's shop is is a smallView point, which is said to be a fake MangoView point. The other white people were told the same thing by the lady, but they kept going, so we decided to go too. We then easily arrived near the MangoView point. However, the lady selling gas again said, "I'm not sure if you can eat lunch at the restaurant at MangoView point, so you can buy it at the restaurant there, and pay 100 baht for the rest of the way." (Probably the lady at the cafe in front)
But there was a photo of me eating at the restaurant at MangoView point on Google Maps, so I couldn't help but want to check it out.
In the end, I was told it was okay to go and check it out🤔, and finally, after several years, I went to MangoView point🤣. .
There was a restaurant just like in the photo, and the seats were good🍀🍀The breeze was pleasant, and the view was the best❣️The relaxing feeling was quite different from the fake lol smallView point in front🤣
It's true that it was 100 baht per person (including water) to enter, and the food was separate, but it was totally forgivable❣️
How many times have I been lucky? 🤣
It turned out that I was always blocked by the lady at the smallView point just before🤣
Before you get to MangoView point, there are several view points and cafes? bars?, so each time it's like a checkpoint, so do your best to get there😊
Also, although it's a rough road, it seems like you can get to Mango Bay if you go 2 kilometers. I'll try it tomorrow and post about Mango Bay again.

Beautiful view, a little bumpy road but its oke, not much to walk to the viewpoint so thats also nice :) the view is worth it

One of the best viewpoints in Thailand. We had a blast hiking up and taking pictures. Break a sweat and enjoy the reward!

Best Viewpoint on the Island, IMO. We drove a motorbike up past the makeshift bar on the way and walked up the hill the rest of the way. We only met three people along the way so it was quiet and peaceful the entire time. Take your time, enjoy the walk and bring water! The views are absolutely worth it.

Le chemin est un peu raide en scooter mais la vue merveilleuse et l accueil du petit bar rasta valent l effort

At the beginning of the road on the way to the viewpoint you will find a kind of ‘fake’ mango viewpoint. The old lady sits at the entrance & its 20baht entry. I think she/her family have built this place for income as its a brilliant bit of Thai construction ha! Handmade hammocks & a bamboo platform held up by a tree trunk!! Its soo cool but honestly there is nothing fake about the view/setting Honestly it is just STUNNING!!
I didnt see the point in going further up the road to pay 100bht for the ‘real’ tourist one !

Mango Viewpoint to miejsce naprawdę warte odwiedzenia, szczególnie na zachód słońca. Najlepszą metodą dostanie się tam jest wypożyczenie skutera bo podejście jest dosyć ciężkie. Można podjechać pod samo wejście na punkt widokowy, my jednak postanowiliśmy zostawić skuter w sklepiku trochę niżej, bo droga jest bardzo dziurawa. Ogólnie widok jest fantastyczny, warto się trochę pomęczyć żeby się tu dostać.
